Take another look at home design with this new series. You Can’t Turn That Into a House is a new series that will premiere in July. Viewers will see two brothers from Missouri tackle tough home design issues.
FYI released a press statement detailing the new series. Check that out below.
“An all new FYI television series is about to change the way you think about home renovation! You Can’t Turn That Into A House premieres Saturday, July 15 at 9:30pm ET on FYI.
In You Can’t Turn That Into A House, two Missouri brothers, Taimoor and Rehan, are traveling the country rewriting the rules of home design by taking on the most unconventional, most bizarre, most dangerous run-down structures and transforming them into surprising, ingenious and luxurious dream homes. Whether renovating an old carnival trailer into a mobile guest house, turning an industrial garbage dumpster into a luxurious lake-front retreat, or fusing two rundown school buses together to form one unique structure, there’s no job they won’t take on.
With Taimoor’s business savvy, Rehan’s artistic talent, and help from their lifelong friend turned contractor Kyle, this close-knit team has joined forces to turn dreams into reality by creating the most eccentric properties and proving everyone wrong who says, You Can’t Turn That Into A House. New episodes will air Saturdays at 9:30pm ET on FYI.”

Love the show, however it has the same theme every show which gets old. They draw up the plans, go over the plans with the homeowner before they start. Then when they are almost done the homeowner is shocked with the configuration of the house even though they approved it!! Happens every show!! Oh, we are supposed to get 10 people around the table not 4 or need an additional 2 double beds besides the 3 in the original plans. They manage to meet the NEW demands of the owner with the allotted time. Tiny House has the same script… Read more »
LOVE this show. It shows how resourceful people can be. I happened to be channel surfing and found it. Wish I had known about it sooner. I will definitely be looking for new episodes. I would like to see this picked up for another season. I will watch every episode! How do you get on the show. We need their help
Really great ideas that salvage materials and upcycle out of the ordinary structures into homes. Love it.
I love this show! Awesome idea!
july the 15 is on a Tuesday cant find it to record it.
Love this show and hope it is renewed! Creative and cost effective building alternatives to repurpose!
I really love the show and hope it will stay on. The guys are very creative . It is a cool way for people to recycle things that looked like junk into some cool living spaces.
Love the show! I hope there will be a second season.
Wonderful show! Definitely would not pay 50k to turn a propane to any into a house, cud of used a much larger space for that much money, , however the idea and concept was really unique and fun. I really liked the bison she did and storage unit idea, I think that turned out very well! I am going to keep watching the show because I can’t wait to see what’s next.
“You Can’t Turn That Into A House”… and you didn’t. In the premier episode the team transforms a storage tank into what they claim is a house, but with a few glaring omissions – most notably: there is no bathroom! There are no cabinets or shelves in their supposedly functional kitchen – in fact there is no storage in the space at all. For some unexplained reason the project HAD to be finished in 5 days, so errors couldn’t be fixed properly such as replacing the custom windows when they were cut incorrectly. The show is a poorly considered gimmick.
Just watched first episode. Amazing to see that storage tank transformed. Lots of shots of finished kitchen, living, sleeping areas, but no pix of bathroom. Edited out, or overlooked? I am curious how they dealt with the plumbing, considering the middle-of -nowhere locale. Also didn’t mention finished square footage. Looked pretty roomy for a getaway place. Deck also terrific. Looking forward to more.
Didn’t see a refrigerator or any storage space. I’m guessing there are drawers under the bed but ehat more?
Cant wait to Watch
I Love the concept of this show and can’t wait to see the creative home ideas they come up with!
I am definitely not interested in this program. Every day the news media bombards us with railroad cars, old buses, ship containers, etc. showing us the homeless persons who sleep in them and the police force who come around to get them thrown out, too much doom and gloom for me. Who really cares if someone can make a house out of an old bus, the real kindness would be helping someone find a place to live and not doing it for publicity and making money.
I kind of feel like you’re being really negative and have no idea what the show is about. The show probably sought out people who were looking to invest in something they owned that they wanted to be more and share that story/process with everyone. If you don’t like renovation shows, you don’t like renovation shows. This isn’t Extreme Home Makeover. It’s entertainment for those who enjoy being crafty or just want to watch people build unique things.
It’s a clever idea. Old buses, railroad box cars, galvanized farm tanks. It’s all quite amazing. I’d love to get a product noticed by Kyle, if I could. It’s an 8 in ONE RUST Preventor, Rust INHIBITOR that cost 7 cents a square foot. http://www.picklex20.com + I still promote this product that I’ve repped. It’s an incredible product invented here in America. It’s won Nat’l + Int’l acclaim. The inventor/engineer/scientist that developed it is originally from India – now living in Alabama. This product would be used when removing deep rust instead of shot blasting – which costs $3.00 a… Read more »
