Caribbean Pirate Treasure has been renewed for a second season! The series features Philippe and Ashlan Cousteau. He is the son of Jacques Cousteau, and Ashlan is his wife. The pair are ready to take their viewers on more adventures.
Travel Channel revealed more about the renewal of this series in a press release. Check that out below.
“Travel Channel has picked up Season Two of its underwater adventure series, Caribbean Pirate Treasure, featuring husband and wife duo Philippe and Ashlan Cousteau. Philippe, grandson of legendary explorer Jacques Cousteau, and his journalist wife, Ashlan, dive into seafaring stories of lost loot and pirates’ plunder in eight new half-hour episodes. Tropical locations such as the Bahamas, Cuba and Panama will be showcased in the new season, which begins production later this month.
“‘Caribbean Pirate Treasure’ is full of stunning locations, adventure, mysteries and great storytelling,” said Courtney White, senior vice president, programming, Travel Channel, Food Network and Cooking Channel. “When you combine those elements with Philippe and Ashlan’s innate curiosity, expertise and chemistry, you deliver a series that easily attracts the audiences that advertisers want.”
The new season of Caribbean Pirate Treasure is scheduled to premiere later this year.”

Glad it has been renewed, I watched every episode. It is not about lots of hype and nonsense, more like a documentery on the great ship wrecks and caches. Phillipe brings history and weight to the show…. Glad it will be back.
Awesome! The show brings about scientific facts from important historical events. These important events changed our lives today in every way. Phillipe seems to be genuinely excited about learning more about specific events or dates from others (historians) who hold great depths of nautical knowledge. It’s the adventure in hunting for those lost treasures that keeps us yearning for what lies below.
As an experienced diver, what you see from the camera angles are true to the eye from a diver’s perspective. Really looking forward to the second season!!!
great show, great pair of treasure hunters. Quiet annoying every time they get a hit on the detectors or close to find something a storm or choppy water ends the quest. does my head in. Please pull some gold from the sea bed
Love this show!!!! Love this beautiful couple!!!
