TV show description:
Mia, Zoe, Juliet and Caitlin are ambitious and sexy females who have been best friends since business school. The four Manhattan women do their best to juggle their successful careers with rocky relationships, family challenges, work rivalries, and everything else in between. To support and counsel each other through their individual challenges and today’s corporate battle zones, they’ve bonded together to form a “Cashmere Mafia.” How better to climb up the corporate ladder than with your buddies at your side?
Mia Mason (Lucy Liu) works in the publishing world and has a powerful need to be first in all that she does, even if its at the cost of her relationship with fiancee Jack Cutting (Tom Everett Scott) as they compete for the same position.
Zoe Burden (Frances O’Connor) is the Managing Director of Mergers and Acquisitions at Gorham Sutter. She’s married to work-at-home architect Eric Burden (Julian Ovenden). Finding a way to balance their work, relationship and raising of their two small children is a constant juggling act for the couple.
Juliet Draper (Miranda Otto) is the Chief Operating Officer of Stanton Hall Hotels and Resorts and appearances always come first, both at home and at work. She must work double-time to keep up the facade of having a perfect life with her philandering husband, hedge fund manager Davis (Peter Hermann), and their rebellious 14-year-old daughter.
Caitlin Dowd (Bonnie Somerville) is the Senior VP for Marketing at Lily Parrish Cosmetics. She excels at work but is still finding her way in her personal life.
The series was created by Darren Star, creator of Sex and the City.
I Love this show, would be really really nice if it would come back!
Cashmere Mafia was recently showed here in the Philippines and all i could say is: ITS GREAT!!! Better than Lipstick Jungle.. its true!! Please return the show!!! PLEASE.
I loved this show! The characters were great! Much better story line than Lipstick Jungle.
I am disappointed in ABC for not giving this show more of a chance.
I loved this show! I really try to not watch more than 1 or 2 of the new shows each year. I think the network failed to take into account the way they handled the writers strike affecting the numbers of this show.
This show balanced the glamorous life of well off working women with the realities of life, and I think it did it better than a lot of others who have attempted this genre.
Shame on the network yet again for not even giving a show 1 complete season to prove itself.
