Fans won’t be seeing what happens to Olivia Lockhart in a fourth season of Cedar Cove. Hallmark Channel has cancelled their first scripted TV show after three seasons and 36 episodes.
Cedar Cove revolves around Olive (Andie MacDowell), a single mother from a small seaside community who’s also a municipal court judge. Olivia does her best to balance her career with family and finding love — all the while doing her best to care for the township she calls home. The rest of the cast includes Dylan Neal, Teryl Rothery, Sarah Smyth, Colin Ferguson, Bruce Boxleitner, Barbara Niven, Brennan Elliot, Corey Sevier, Sebastian Spence, Tom Stevens, Jesse Hutch, Jesse Moss, Emily Tennant, and Timothy Webber.
Hallmark’s first scripted TV series debuted in July 2013 to 2.62 million viewers. Though the TV show lasted three seasons, the ratings dropped each year. The first season of Cedar Cove averaged about two million viewers. The second season averaged 1.87 million and the third season averaged 1.67 million.
The cable channel announced the cancellation on their Facebook page. Here’s the statement:

I also just started watching Cedar Cove this summer on Netflix and am halfway thru season 3. I was online trying to find out when season 4 was starting and instead read where it has been canceled. I am very disappointed to hear this. It made me sad just thinking of watching the last episode of this season and couldn’t wait until it started a new season. Absolutely!! My husband and I loved the show, it is a great date-night show, that goes so well with popcorn! And were so disappointed that what is labeled the final season 3, didn’t wrap up so many story lines 🙁 It is a great show, very entertaining with just the right amount of drama, and nothing graphic or sleazy….rare in this day and age! PLEASE bring the show back….with all the same characters and actors!

Yes the show should return!!! I loved all th characters and the different stories woven throughout each episode. It was clean cut, beautiful scenery, real people with real problems. It was most interesting and very thrilling.

Please bring it back. You leave us in the air and then you cancel it. I was looking forward to Chesapeake Shores that starts tonight, but afraid to get hooked out that only to have you do the same. So I think I will not watch this show.
My daughter and I started watching Cedar Cove on Netflix this summer and fell in love. We both are disappointed to find out this show was cancelled.

I am deeply saddened and very dissapointed to hear a quality family show like Cedar Cove was cancelled. Every new and seasoned actors were choosen for the right character, well written story line and location. Funny enough, in my head I was living there. What do I watch now? If you took a vote I am sure you will find millions who think like I do. Please return Cedar Cove series back to the viewers who value Hallmarks quality shows.

I watched all three seasons this summer. I really enjoyed the show and am disappointed that there won’t be another season
I too loved the show and looked forward to season 4. I get very upset when a show is cancelled, especially with no ending! There aren’t that many good shows on anymore and this was one of the best. I rather watch a mini series knowing that there is a ending than start a new show, get interested in it and then to be cancelled. Hope Hallmark doesn’t do it to their new show coming soon, just to be interested and then cancelled. I enjoy Hallmark. Please don’t be like the other channels.
