Fans won’t be seeing what happens to Olivia Lockhart in a fourth season of Cedar Cove. Hallmark Channel has cancelled their first scripted TV show after three seasons and 36 episodes.
Cedar Cove revolves around Olive (Andie MacDowell), a single mother from a small seaside community who’s also a municipal court judge. Olivia does her best to balance her career with family and finding love — all the while doing her best to care for the township she calls home. The rest of the cast includes Dylan Neal, Teryl Rothery, Sarah Smyth, Colin Ferguson, Bruce Boxleitner, Barbara Niven, Brennan Elliot, Corey Sevier, Sebastian Spence, Tom Stevens, Jesse Hutch, Jesse Moss, Emily Tennant, and Timothy Webber.
Hallmark’s first scripted TV series debuted in July 2013 to 2.62 million viewers. Though the TV show lasted three seasons, the ratings dropped each year. The first season of Cedar Cove averaged about two million viewers. The second season averaged 1.87 million and the third season averaged 1.67 million.
The cable channel announced the cancellation on their Facebook page. Here’s the statement:

Just finished watching all 3 seasons, but disappointed it ended the way it did. Would love a movie or another season to start where it left off!
If the show was being cancelled, it would have been nice to have an “ending” and not the way it ended. I would love to see a special edition come out to tie up the unfinished storylines. Maybe a The scenery is spectacular.
I am so disappointed that the series has been cancelled and surprised since it was very well acted and showed a positive and wholesome approach to everyday life in a small town. It also reminded me of how beautiful the West Coast is, as a Canadian living abroad. Will Hallmark not reconsider their decision, please?!
Can’t believe no 4th season for Cedar Cove so many story lines left hanging I agree that if Hallmark are not going to make a 4th season they should at least make a movie to clear up all the cliffhangers
Very disappointed to find the show was cancelled. Cast, characters and storyline were excellent. Please reconsider as you have many unhappy fans.
At least produce a Hallmark movie so we can all have some type of ending. If you knew you were going cancel this series you could have had some type of plan in place for closure. Don’t do another series unless you plan to write a proper ending when you decide to not renew the series

Interesting that so many people, including me, enjoyed the show & have been waiting for the 4 th season to start. I like Hallmark but am disappointed to see this canceled.

Been waiting hoping Cedar Cove returning so decided to check to see when it will return. We are so disappointed to hear its not likely coming back. Such a good, clean, family, and all age show with interesting characters and story lines.Loved the cast. Please reconsider this decision.
