TV show description:
This reality competition looks at the unique culture that exists in barbering communities across the country. Blending craft with comedy, the show visits different barbershops in communities — including Los Angeles, Queens, Harlem and Austin — where the best barbers go head-to-head in sometimes humorous, unfiltered, no-holds-barred arenas.
Creating hair sculptures that feature elaborate designs — ranging from images of a person’s face to grand cityscapes — the barbers use nothing more than their clippers and a few coloring tools to create intricate works of art that are both imaginative and location-centric.
Episodes contain two challenges: a “buzz cut” challenge that’s set inside an iconic barbershop and an outdoor “cut down” challenge that’s located at a regional landmark in each city. At the end of each episode, a champion is crowned the winner.
The panel of judges who are also known as “The Cutting Board,” is made up of renowned celebrity barbers including Curtis Smith, Rich the Barber, Bashan “B.G. Cutta” Gibbs and renowned instructor Lena Piccininni.
Episode #10 — Harlem
Barbers from Philadelphia, the Bronx and Charlotte are featured.
First aired: December 21, 2015.
What do you think? Do you like the Cedric’s Barber Battle TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?
I really dislike reality shows but I am a BIG Cedric The Entertainment fan so I wanted to try the Barber Battle.
All three barbers were very talented but the show itself was boring and overrated with all the introductions, hype-music and computerized stuff. It took too long to get to the point/end of the battle.
