NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.

How can this program, Chase, be low-rated when:
1. it is pre-empted by other programs constantly;
2. it is changed for scheduling days and times without advertisement and viewers knowledge to locate it;
3. it is shown late for eastern time as well as on church times for the Bible Belt area.
THIS IS A WELL-WRITEN ACTION PROGRAM AND SHOULD BE TOP RATED IF IT WAS PROMOTED. IT IS ONE OF THE FEW PROGRAMS WE ANXIOUSLY AWAIT EACH WEEK.
Please give this program another chance. Thank you.
Are you kidding? Annie Frost is awesome. I drove 2 hours through sleet and snow to get home in time for Chase tonight. And it’s not on. What a sad way to end the day. There is so much potential character developement in this show. Please keep Chase!
I guess we’re in the minority but my family loved Chase. I hope that we’ll get to see the five remaining episodes eventually. We also loved the chemistry between the actors and I was really looking forward to seeing their relationships develop and how their characters would grow. Too bad really…

I LOVE CHASE! It’s awesome to have a female as the lead role! Annie is awesome and her team worked together well and showed real team work! Even greater filmed in Texas! Pretty cool to see land marks that I know personally! Think it was NBC’s fault for the inconsistency in keeping show on the same day and was disappointing to have it on a week here, maybe next week then skip 2 weeks! Please bring it back! The entire family LOVES Chase, what is wrong with everyone! Great characters, great story line, great acting!!
I think Annie is one of the most exciting female cop characters on TV. The entire CHASE cast is great! This was a MUST SEE Monday night show for all my friends and family. WE say BRING it BACK!!!
I recorded this show every week and I don’t think this show should be canceled. The actors were great and they have chemistry. Please do not cancel.

The networks can’t figure out why they’re losing the war against cable, yet they pull the plug before an exellent series has a chance to catch on. Morons!
I’m so annoyed with NBC!!! They’ve taken Chase off -which I loved and put another stupid game show in it’s place. And this show “The Cape” – what is going on at NBC? Minute to Win It is ok… but for 2 hours?? Geez…. and Biggest Loser is starting to go downhill fast with these 2 new trainers. I’ll just stop watching NBC all together. This is why we pay for satellite.
Please don’t cancel Chase. This was a good show for everyone in the family to watch. No sex, or bad dialog. Maybe another night when the other programming is extremely bad. Maybe a Friday night would work or maybe a weekend when a whole lot of families stay home to watch tv. You are doing this show a huge disservice. The cast was believable and the show well done. Please reconsider.
please put chase back on….annie kicks ass and there are not many shows with a strong protagistic woman as the main character
