NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.

PLEASE BRING CHASE BACK!!!!! My husband and I love it so much and can’t stand minute to win it! I usually end up turning it to ABC. We love the actors on Chase and look forward to it all week. Please, Please bring it back.
Please don’t cancel Chase!!! It is a great show and my family looked forward to it every week! I am so tired of NBC canceling every show we start to watch. It makes me not want to try to watch any new shows or even watch NBC at all!!!
Everytime a decent show starts on NBC they cancel it!! We’ve been looking forward to tonight’s episode only to find out that it’s not coming on. And we didn’t even find out from NBC — we had to google it!!! Minute To Win It is no Chase!! We’ve been NBC fans for 10+ years and are becoming more and more disappointed with the show choices. I meant TNT to pick up Chase and promote it like Southland, my favorite show.
My wife and I both enjoyed the chemistry among the characters in Chase, as well as the plots. NBC has to stop panicking and give their new shows more time to catch on with viewers. Steinfeld had dismal ratings its first half season on the air..
Please TNT! Put Chase on! This is a great show. I haven’t missed one episode. I even looked here to find out why it wasn’t on the air. Chase needs a lot more promotion, and repeats until enough viewers have a chance to see it.
I can’t believe NBC pulled Chase without even giving it a fair chance! It’s an awesome show and needs to be back on ASAP! My whole family loves the show and my 17 year old is in love with Annie Frost.

I loved this show. This was the highlight of my week. Give it a chance NBC. Even the TV show The Fugitive back in the 60’s had a slow start but looked how it became the most watched show on TV. If NBC takes the Chase off the air I will start watching the other TV networks or back to cable.
How can this program, Chase, be low-rated when:
1. It’s showing is constantly pre-empted by other programs like “One Minute to Win It”;
2. It has been changed to new times and days without viewers being informed and a lack of advertisement;
3. This program is aired late especially for Eastern Time and wrong times for viewing in the Bible Belt (Sundays and Wednesdays).
THIS IS A WELL-WRITEN ACTION PROGRAM AND SHOULD BE GIVEN ANOTHER CHANCE FOR ONE OF THE VERY FEW ACTUAL OUTSTANDING TELEVISION PROGRAMS TODAY. Thank you.

It is a great show. I have been trying to find it on wed night for the last 2,weeks only to find out its been cancelled. I want it back on.
I really enjoyed watching Chase. I have been waiting for the new episodes and I am really disappointed that it’s been cancelled. 🙁
I personally like chase and I am upset that it is being taken off the air. I may not be able to watch it all the time but I record it and than watch because I work full time and go to school full time so that sucks
I really looked forward to watching Chase on wed nights. I should of known NBC would cancel it. After what they did to Friday Night Lights I never watched any other show on NBC but I gave it another chance with Chase and now look what they are going to do…cancel another good show. This is the last time I will invest my time in an NBC show.
