NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.

Chase will be missed by me. My hat is off to them for excellent casting and interesting plots. Change times and or days and watch the ratings go up!

My husband & I both enjoyed Chase. I hope NBC will bring it back. We liked tough Annie Frost. We will not be watching any game show.
Chase is an excellent show and very entertaining. It is one
of the few shows we watch regularly. You would be making
a big mistake to not put this show back on tv. I look forward
to watching further episodes of Chase very soon.
I can’t believe Chase is getting dumped. Are there no shows on TV anymore where people are good? Where people do right? Where ridiculous dysfunctional families are not the source for entertainment? Chase is an excellent show! The characters watch out for each other, they fight for each other, they do right, they have respect, honor, kindness. Why would you dump a show like this? If people want to watch dysfunctional families all night long make fun of themselves and get into awkward situations, then they should turn on MTV or some other worthless filth. What a bunch of dopes NBC executives are. First Outlaw now Chase. This show was somthing my wife and I looked forward to each week. Not another game show that will get hot then die quickly, they should call it minuet to skip it! Chase was building and the cast was great, they were very much growing on us. Maybe “Annie” and the whole crew should “Chase” the NBC dopes out of town.
Bring Chase back……..or at least air the 5 remaining episodes!!!!!! Chase is a good show….

Chase was getting interesting because the characters were developing as were their interactions. That keep it more interesting than just action. The series was definitely getting better as it progressed. I was looking forward to getting back to watching it. A minute to win it did twice as good…..come on America I am ashamed! It wasn’t reality…hurray for that….it was just plain entertaining, a concept somewhat lost these days!
I don’t get NBC.. the only two shows I ever watched there one has been canceled and now this with chase.. about to just give up on NBS and just stick with CBS..
I really loved chase. I didin’t start watching it untail I learn of hulu. I only watched a few episodes but I loved it. I hope NBC grows a brain and puts chase back on the air.
Please do not take Chase off, we both enjoy it and do not like game shows.

Bring Chase back and on Monday nights. How did you think it would do on Wednesday night opposite Criminal Minds? NBC executives are idiots. This will be the second show they pulled the plug on prematurely when they ran off Outlaw and Jimmy Smits. It makes it quite easy to watch CBS and let these butt heads at NBC show game shows or mindless comedy.
I agree chase was a really good show , I enjoyed it on monday, the rating went down on wendesdays cause there is two many other shows to watch , change it back to its orignail time more ppl will watch it. Ratings will go bck up u put it on monday
