NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.

i like chase like all other peeps who commrnted , give the show a chance put it back on mondays , its more real than reality shows, they dumb.
Chase is one of the best series on TV. The cast is awesome and whoever wrote this show is very talented and creative. I’m so tired of Game Shows. Keep Chase running!

I don’t think these Networks give these great shows long enough time to garner a following. Shows with great writing like this and ABC’s The Whole Truth are pitted against shows they can’t possibly compete with, and then summarily cancelled. I watch all of my tv online, so I am also curious if the ratings reflect those that DVR or watch via the Internet. I think NBC sucks. I’m through watching the network. Chase was one of my favorite shows.
Hmmm Law & Order fake?I find nothing fake about S.V.U most of there episodes are pulled from real life events.They may embelish them some but nothing I have seen makes me think it was fake.If anything you could accuse Chase of being fake with some of the extreme stunts the marshals are doing (jumping on to flying helicopters and the like.That being said I though Chase was a good show to be sure it had its own style. Chase is an awesome show. This is the 2nd show that NBC has removed. Needless to say, without Chase or Undercovers I have now have no reason to watch the network. Do not permentaly cancel such a great show!
I’m so annoyed they’re thinking of cancelling this show!! It’s a great cast with a great story line…love this show. Enough of the dumb gameshows already. I also watch it online as my work schedule doesn’t allow me to view it on TV.

My husband and I loved Chase. We are so disappointed that NBC pulled the plug on it. Moving it to Wednesday night was just not smart. A first season show can not compete with shows like Criminal Minds. Unless people dvr it like we do on everything! If NBC would move it back to Monday nights or put it on another night that didn’t have big shows to compete with then the ratings would go back up. i think the ratings are stupid! there are people who dont have time to sit in front of the tv on a particular day of the week to see a show. i myself would either watch the episode on demand or via the internet. are the ratings, rating that? not so much so bring back this show its actually a good police show and not some type of show like law and order which is completely fake!
I’m getting so tired of shows I like getting cancelled. I’m certainly not going to watch reality shows. I’ve decided that I need to do something other than watch TV. I got a kindle and figure reading books will serve me better. You’d think that instead of executives creating shows “everybody” watches that they would have shows for different people. Chase was an excellent show, you need to bring it back on monday’s night! I look forward to watching it and now i’ve gotten all into the show, it’s not being aired…Why are all the good shows gone? Who said it was getting bad ratings? They work so well together and i loved seeing special guest on there as well…BRING BACK CHASE…ON MONDAY NIGHTS!!!!!
