NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.

This is a really dumb and desperate move by nbc. Chase is actually a very good show and they need to bring it back. I watch shows like this to get away from reality for at least an hour so stop trying to get me to watch reality shows. Give Chase a chance and move it back to Monday nights. It takes time for some shows to gain traction, so be patient and give people time to get into it. BRING CHASE BACK PLEASE!!!!!
CHASE IS A GREAT SHOW!!! Even though it’s fiction, it is exciting and inspiring to those who want to become US Marshals. I am a full-time student and I am employed full-time… this is the only show I actually look forward to watching every week. Please find a time spot where the ratings would be better… Don’t put it in time slots where you know it going up against higher rated shows… Please don’t pull the plug just yet… you may find millions of peanuts at your door… (Jericho)
BRING CHASE BACK ON…MONDAY OR WEDNESDAY. I JUST HEARD ABOUT THE SHOW AND WAS REALLY GETTING IN TO IT…BRING IT BACK , PLEASE!!! IT’S A GOOD SHOW.
In todays world, not everyone is able to watch television at a particular time, etc. There are other avenues to to view television that works with peoples schedules. We love Chase at our house. In my office the majority of us watch it and then discuss it at lunch the next day. I hate to see NBC pull it. I do not enjoy reality tv and am tired of game shows. Wish that they would consider giving it a chance 🙁
It is a rocking show…no way should it be cancelled. It has a great script. And the marketing for it has been lame. No time for word of mouth. It is sad if they take it off.

Once again a great show hasn’t lived up to the execs expectations. But what NBC doesn’t see is that by dropping a show like Chase, they lose more viewers than they gain. I for one rarely watch NBC anymore, but I love Chase. I only new Jessie Metcalf in the cast but have fallen in love with all these actors and if another channel doesn’t pick up Chase, I hope to see them in other shows. Minute to win it? Really? The stupider the shows, the more people wants them.
I like Chase, and I want it back. When will somebody will have the courage to remove mediocre shows, like “Minute to…”?

I was actually starting to really get into this show! That sucks ya’ll are gonna put it on the back burner now. Well if there is no chance in hell of anyone seeing the last episodes aired can you at least air them on hulu or your website so the fans can actually see the season through. Still not happy about this though!!
Big mistake on NBC’s part. Chase is a most exciting show with a female lead ( Kelli Giddish) that does her own stunts. Minute-To-Win-It is an inane game/reality show whose production costs are much cheaper than scripted shows. It appears that Comcast is out to destroy NBC’s surviving dramatic content.
I loved the show. Strong woman in charge with men who respect her where do you see that.

I LOVE CHASE AND ITS A SHAME ITS BEING CANCELLED, WHAT THEY NEED TO DO IS TAKE SOME OF THOSE REALITY SHOWS OFF. I AM SO TIRED OF TRASHY WOMEN AND HORNY GUYS SLOBBING ALL OVER EACH OTHER . THEY GLAMOURIZE DRINKING GOING TO JAIL AND BEING ALL AROUND NON-PRODUCTIVE PEOPLE. CHASE IS A GOOD ACTION SHOW WITH A GREAT CAST. BIG MISTAKE, HUGE.
I really enjoyed this show… I upset me when they moved it from mondays to wednesdays with out any word… I feel that if it wasn’t on so late or advertised better the ratings would be a lot better. Please don’t cancel it.

NBC never seems to give new shows a chance to catch on. I agree with LK – there is no reason to watch NBC anymore. What’s the matter with people when all they want to watch is reality TV. This was a great show with a good story line and exceptional actors.
I’ll boycott NBC. What’s the sense of watching that network when you know that they will cancel any decent show that they air.
