NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.

WOW….what a great show. I do not watch much T.V but that was one show I did not miss…watched every week. Bring it back!
Chase is one of the most exciting shows on TV. With each episode the show hits the ground running full speed and doesn’t slow down until the 60 minutes are up. Kelli Giddish is one of the freshest actress on TV. Her character is good look while being believiable. If NBC doesn’t want it, they should put it on one of their other channells like the USA Network. It would be a good fit.
I loved Chase, but I also loved Outlaw. Thank you comcast!
My daughter and I LOVED LOVED LOVED this show. It was great to watch with her as she is a teenage and we actually had something in common and would talk about the show. We are both sad to see it go. Just like Southland, which thank goodness is on TNT, NBC let a good show go to more stupid shows like Minute to Win It? Please!!!!!
Please put back CHASE
We liked the show, though I guess I liked it more than my husband. I think the men of the network must have canceled it. They still can’t believe a woman can be so capable of such physical prowess!
I agree with Jenifer, Chase is awesome. My wife and I were just talking last night about how five minutes into the show you are on the edge of your seat and you remain there until the end. It’s very gripping and we never missed an episode.
Come on NBC, you used to be my favorite network. I hate reality shows. I love good action and dramas like Chase. The only thing left on NBC that I can watch now is Chuck. Is it getting the axe next?
NOOOOO….I loved this show. I think they just need to promote it more. There are too many shows on on Wednesday’s…move it back to Monday’s in an earlier time slot
C’mon NBC! I have been waiting patiently for the next episode of Chase to air only to scroll thru and not find it. First you moved it from Monday’s to Wednesday’s only to air two episodes and now it is no where to be found. Seriously, do I need to start an email drive to your inbox to get this show continued. This show has a great cast, a great story line and some great action. This is one of the few shows that I looked forward to weekly that wasn’t reality based. PLEASE, PLEASE bring it back!

Chase is a riveting and believable show with really good story lines, and interesting sub-plots involving the character’s private lives.
big mistake to cancel it – so let’s just hope they don’t – surely there must be someone at NBC who’s I.Q. is above the reality show level?
BRING BACK CHASE! My husband and I love the show, the actors and the storylines. While law enforcement shows are never truly accurate, this one does a great job of at least trying in some areas while obviously going for drama/storytelling when it is not. It always has a riveting story and that is something you just don’t get much on network television anymore. Any producer that did business with Lil boy Zucker deserved exactly what they got. Thank God Comcast got approval to buy NBC and terminate Jeff. Honestly, I cancelled NBC years ago. Hopefully Comcast can turn things around. Too late for Chase, but anything is better than Zucker. Man he was a dissaster for television for waaay too long. Remember this is the guy that took a number network and drove it below local cable in ratings… and now NBC is blaming Chase for zero ratings? This is a really dumb move by NBC. Chase is actually a very good show. Some of us like shows like Chase bacause it helps us get away from reality for at least an hour so stop trying to get me to watch reality shows. It takes time for some shows to gain traction so be patient and bring Chase back to Monday Nights PLEASE!!!
