NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.

I loved chase!!!! It was one of the best shows. I really looked forward to watching it and now very disappointed. Please bring it back and cancel those stupid comedy shows that you replaced it with.

I served 33 years in law enforcement and there are too few good shows for the likes of us.
This wasn’t a bad show. Sure the writing could have been a little better, but the show was better than some of the other crap thats on. Some quality assurance on the set would have helped. But I enjoyed the stunts and acting. It was the ONLY NBC show I watch. Goodbye Peacock>
I really loved Chase, why does NBC always cancel the best shows? Everyone is not in to reality, vampires, and other adulterated shows.
I am so disappointed this show was cancel. This is an excellent show. I was looking forward to watching it this week. Please bring back this show. What do we need to do to bring this back on the air. Tell me so I can do my part. I love that episode when they went to Mexico to get Annie back. This is the hottest show. NBC cancel uncover now this.
I am sick and tired of all the reality shows. What is wrong with NBC? Seriously, they finally get a good show then they play this crap. It is so frustrating they change nights and mess with it until you never know what to count on. I am so tired of all the changes. If they gave it a full 22 episode season, then let them be. Maybe if they would leave it alone they could get some momentum – NBC screws it up. Bring it back already.

It’s terrible how the networks keep scaling back on good drama shows and comedys in favor of reality shows. In a few years we’ll be lucky to have 25% of TV that is not geared to the reality shows. I guess the viewers are to blame because of their addiction to shows based on overweight people being degraded or cooking programs that, again, make degrading people that try their best the focus. I think that this was a dumb move by NBC!!! It seems that they always cut the good TV shows!! I don’t watch a lot of TV, but I did watch Chase!! This is really disgusting and I think that NBC needs to think this through and put it back on aire!! This would really stink if it didn’t come back!! BAD MOVE NBC!!! Put it back!!!!
My husband and I really enjoyed Chase. Please bring it back!! We watched it every week.

I think nbc is being stupid I mean who is not tired of game shows the chase was a good show and why not air the rest of the season but this goes back just like they did with knight rider nbc don’t know anything about having good shows because when they get one they cancel the show!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This was a good show. Who wants to watch game shows? You can do that with the kids. If you would leave the show on the same night maybe your ratings would go up,,
