NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.

Awww…don’t cancel this great show!!! I think the main reason it didn’t get the viewership it deserved was it started out going against Hawaii 5-0!! And it was never promoted that it was moving to a new night, I was surprised to see it on Wednesday!!!! Keep it on Wednesday and give it chance!!!
I loved Chase. I am going to miss watching it. But it was up against Criminal Minds for me. So I always DVRed Chase. Maybe on a Tuesday night I don’t have anything else to watch on Tuesdays!
Please don’t cancel this show it is too good of a show. Everytime there is a good show the network cancels it and you put on some junky show that my husband and I hate
I thought it was a really great show. Show women in action and being strong. I hope they keep in on the air.
I loved CHASE!!! I got everyone I know to watch it (well a lot of people I know) and everyone that watched it, liked it. What a bummer. I will miss this show badly if they don’t bring it back.
I liked the show but have been afraid from the beginning that it wouldn’t make it. Being “Good” is not enough anymore. There is too much competition so to make it on the networks it has to be very good and unique. Sometimes even that’s bnot enough.
The show is good, at least is not a reality show, the problem is that nobody wants to watch a real show anymore, everything must be make-believe… I hope USA buys it and kicks a$$ with it like they are doing with all of their shows, NBC is getting spanked anyways.
Great shows like Chase, The Defenders, Blue Bloods, Harry’s Law, etc. seem to be in jeopardy. Quality shows instead of all this horrible reality crap. How can a show like Jersey Shore or The Bachelor still be on tv? New management is needed by all the networks. Geez, lets get back to quality. I know Quality is a new word for most of the networks, but come on!!
Who makes these stupid decisions? So many good shows have gone away while they leave trash on the air like the Bachelor. What is going on? Chase is a great acted show. Stars have good chemistry and are so realistic. All this reality junk has taken over quality tv. Need some new decision makers in the networks.
Loved it. I’m really sad to see it go. I wish NBC would reconsider.
I love this show!!!!!! iam going to be so mad if you cut this show off me and my mom love this show and we loved to see annie act she aspired me.iam 11 years old and when i grow up i want to be just like her.
me and my daughter have been watching that show pretty much since it first came on. We really got into into and when it went off we were disappointed, and then we saw is was gonna be on a different so and were so thrilled. we saw a couple of shows and then nothing, very unhappy that show definetely deserves to be put back on. do it on a nite that tv is slow like a thursday or saturday i so want to see this show back for i have gotten into so many different shows and nothing.. I am so sick of getting involved in shows for the networks to cancel them part way through.
Instead they would rather put on junk reality TV shows and game shows. Chase was
a good show and they are missing out by canceling it. PUT CHASE BACK ON!!!!
I liked this show. I was very disappointed when it did not come on.
That show was one of the only shows me and my wife looked forward to watching every week. The chick on the show has that cool apeal that curoso has on CSI miami.. Sucks its off..
