What’s This TV Show About?
A Hallmark Canadian-American drama, the Chesapeake Shores stars Meghan Ory, Jesse Metcalfe, Treat Williams, Diane Ladd, Laci J. Mailey, Emilie Ullerup, Brendan Penny, Andrew Francis, Kayden Magnuson, Abbie Magnuson, Greyston Holt, Carlo Marks, Jessica Sipos, Lanie McAuley, and Barbara Niven. The story centers on career woman Abby O’Brien (Ory), a divorced mother of two young daughters who leaves New York for her hometown of Chesapeake Shores, Maryland, where her first love Trace (Metcalfe) lives.

Telly’s Take
Will Hallmark cancel or renew Chesapeake Shores for season five? There were only six episodes this year but the show remained a pretty good performer for the channel. Based on the numbers, I think it will be renewed but am unsure why there were so few episodes. Could this be an indication that Hallmark is going to end the show or, that it’s an expensive program to produce? I’ll update this page with breaking developments. for the first time in a long time I watched a story that actually stirred up my childhood memories of bygone family and a childhood sweetheart. The story of this average family was wholesome but also shared the pain of unresolved issues and what it can do to you if not dealt with. Once I had a family that bonded together like this so this story brought tears to my eyes but a warmth to my old heart. It felt like my story and the story of so many others were being told here. Definitely keep Chesapeake Shores on for 5th season and beyond. It’s a very entertaining show. One of the best Hallmark series on!!

My husband and I are avid watchers of Chesapeake Shores and I have been waiting for August to come so we could see more when I now find out that it isn’t renewed nor canceled at this late date. I certainly hope we have another season. It is sad enough we only get about nine episodes a year, but we are grateful to have those nine. Please do not cancel the show. It is a great wholesome show.

I absolutely think Chesapeake Shores should be renewed for a fifth season. The only thing I don’t like is that it seems to be on for such a short time. That’s a definite plus. If the show was awful I wouldn’t notice how few weeks it’s on.
I’ve just started watching Chesapeake Shores on Netflix and i love it,its a real feel good show,please don’t cancel it,I would miss the show and the characters so much.
Please bring back Chesapeake Shores! I would LOVE to watch many more seasons. I have binged watched since the COVID-19 lockdown and have loved all the seasons!! We need this show in these hard times to remind us of all the good and happy things in the world, like family and the bonds that we have with our loved ones. Keep more seasons coming, please!! Please renew Chesapeake Shores, it is a fantastic show. The show usually starts by end of summer, so this is worrisome that we have heard no news. I really hope there is a season 5 because there are so many stories left for all of the cast.
I always look forward to Chesapeake Shores returning in the summer. We could all use some good news these days so please bring it back!
