What’s going on with Chicago Justice and Trial & Error? Recently, NBC chairman Bob Greenblatt discussed the renewal chances for the two freshman TV series, Variety reports. 5/21 update: Trial & Error is renewed for season two on NBC. Details here.
Both series have a decent shot at being renewed for a second season. Chicago Justice is the latest installment in Dick Wolf’s Chicago franchise, which has been a huge success for NBC for the past few years. And while the show’s first season has only brought in moderate ratings, its connection to the other Chicago series will surely give it a boost.
Recently, Greenblatt told reporters that NBC is still deciding on the fate of Chicago Justice until the rest of the schedule is hammered out, saying “We’re still putting the pieces in place for post-Olympics and summer.”
Meanwhile, the future of Trial & Error also remains unclear. The comedy, which stars Nicholas D’Agosto as a new lawyer, received low ratings during it first season but did garner some critical attention.
Although, despite poor ratings, Greenblatt suggested there may be a second season, saying “I hope we can have some good news about that in the near future.” Apparently, negotiations with the show’s studio, Warner Bros. TV, are still ongoing.

Chicago Justice is excellent ! It is up against Madame Secretary so the viewership is not going to great in that time slot.

I hope that they keep Chicago Justice I really like it would miss it if it were not on here we go again other people watch TV than young people do something for us
It’s the weakest show in the series. Just catching up on the episodes, but there is no gripping reason to watch. Other than the franchise, it has little to offer. It is too much like the kind of shows we saw years ago – formulaic and predictable.
I agree he obviously was trying to recreate law and order and it is the weakest of the franchise i think a lot of it is they spend to much time on the law part not enough on the order part and i think the casting wasn’t good the only character i like is antonio i hope if it doesn’t get renewed they send him back to chicago pd
Please bring the series back for a second season. If the main character was a little more hard nosed it would be better viewing/ratings.
