Dick Wolf’s Chicago franchise shows no signs of slowing down. Today, it was revealed that NBC had renewed Chicago Med for a third season.
The medical drama is set at Chicago’s new state-of-the-art trauma center and revolves around the doctors, nurses, and staff members who treat the most severe trauma cases. The cast includes Oliver Platt, S. Epatha Merkerson, Nick Gehlfuss, Yaya DaCosta, Colin Donnell, Brian Tee, Torrey DeVitto, Rachel DiPillo, and Marlyne Barrett.
Chicago Med has been a steady performer for NBC over the past two seasons. Despite a drop in ratings, season two averaged a decent 1.24 in the 18-49 demo and 6.65 million viewers, making it one of the network’s most-watched series for the 2016-2017 season.
Sister series Chicago Fire and Chicago PD were also renewed today but there’s no word on Chicago Justice yet.

I got to say my first and second best tv show and ive been watching each episode and its intense but one of the best tv show that NBC has to offer.
I absolutely LOVE Chicago Fire, Med, PD and Justice! (Not in any particular order). Great shows! Very entertaining, suspenseful, dramatic and at times, funny! I really hope all 4 keep going!!!
Most Certainly Im more than glad that Chicago Med was renewed. Its funny because at first I only watched Chicago Pd but now Im hooked on Med too. Cant wait to see what happens with Dr Charles Omg. Please, Please bring Stone and the crew on Justice back back for a new season too.

I’m so happy they renewed Chicago Med! I love all 4 of the Chicago shows! I would be disappointed if the cancel Chicago Justice! I hope they all come back! I just hate the suspense we endure waiting for the next season!
