Chuck Lorre is getting in the weed business. Deadline reports the writer and producer is shopping around a new pilot centered around the world of pot selling.
Lorre is the creator of a number of successful sitcoms that include The Big Bang Theory, Mom, and Two and a Half Men.
Untitled at the moment, the sitcom is reportedly set at a marijuana dispensary in Colorado and features an ensemble like many of Lorre’s comedies.
Lorre co-wrote the pilot along with Daily Show alum David Javerbaum. The two are currently shopping the multi-camera project to several networks.
What do you think? Would you watch a sitcom centered around pot? Are you a fan of Lorre’s other sitcoms?
Chuck Lorre tickles my funny bone. Whether it be, “Mom”; “Big Bang Theory” or darnyouforcancelling Mike and Molly – the shows give empathy and hilarity – always leaves me wanting more. …. and a good weed show – all about timing and the timing is right
i love all his shows and was thinking he needs to do more cause they were all or mostly about family and not dirty language, he has decent shows hope he keeps it that way. dont know if i will watch the new show or not, just depends.love family oriented shows and funny shows.
Isn’t Kevin Smith already doing a pilot for a show like this. He talked about it last week on his podcast.
So far, I’ve liked everything Chuck Lorre has created so I would definitely give this one a shot
I sure hope so…it would be hilarious!
