What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the CBS television network, Code Black stars Marcia Gay Harden, Luis Guzmán, Rob Lowe, Boris Kodjoe, Harry Ford, Benjamin Hollingsworth, William Allen Young, Emily Tyra, Noah Gray-Cabey, Emily Alyn Lind, and Moon Bloodgood. The story unfolds at Angels Memorial Hospital in Los Angeles — the busiest, most notorious ER in the country. The high patient volume dwarfs the resources available to the exceptional staff — creating a condition known as Code Black.

Telly’s Take
Although it premiered with much lower numbers than the second season, it is still too early to predict whether CBS will cancel or renew Code Black for season four. Last year, the renewal reportedly came about after some licensing fee concessions, so the decision won’t only depend upon first-run advertising rates, but the possibility of syndication earnings, too. Flying blind, I suspect it will score a fourth season to help ensure a decent-sized resale package. Since that’s just speculation though, I’ll keep an eye on the Nielsens and update this page with breaking developments. Subscribe for free Code Black cancellation or renewal alerts.
5/24/2018 Update: Code Black has been cancelled by CBS. Details here. Now I must fly. I have dinner reservations.

I do not understand!!!!!How could you cancel such a fantastic , thought provoking adult show?
Season 3 was amazing and I know if you continued it would just get better and better. I loved it. I hate reality TV and this was a show that was totally different. I loved the intense drama and the personal story lines of each character kept viewers coming back. PLEASE bring Code Black back.
I would like to see how they get their numbers and out of a specific age group, no less. Code Black is an amazing medical drama with a talented cast. I am so tired of seeing the very few good shows get cancelled and more annoying Reality TV taking their place. Don’t people watch tv to escape reality?? Leave Code Black on, please! There is so little that is good to watch anymore.
Please don’t cancel Code Black it is the best show on TV
It should never been cancelled. Use a different demo. Older ones do not like reality tv.
