TV show description:
This gritty medical drama revolves around an Emergency Room in Los Angeles where underfunding and understaffing pile huge pressure on its staff. A “code black” is issued when the ER no longer has the manpower, capacity or equipment to operate effectively.
Doctor Leanne Rorish (Marcia Gay Harden) is the ER Residency Director. She’s a brilliant doctor and an experienced professional who often has to resort to her intuition as opposed to standard medical procedures in order to save lives. She reminds her staff that life is measured in split seconds and a moment of hesitation can be the difference between life and death.
On the flip side to Leanne’s risk-taking is Doctor Neal Hudson (Raza Jaffrey) who is constantly at odds with her cavalier attitude.
Leanne’s confidante is Senior Nurse Jesse Salander (Luis Guzman) who’s seen it all at the country’s most notorious ER. His job is to manage the residents. Like the other technicians, doctors and nurses, he is facing a daily battle to save lives under immense pressure.
Mario Savetti (Benjamin Hollingsworth), Christa Lorenson (Bonnie Somerville), Angus Leighton (Harry Ford) and Malaya Pineda (Melanie Chandra) are all first-year residents coming to terms with the harsh realities of their chosen profession.
Episode #47 — Business of Saving Lives
Angels Memorial descends into chaos when a plane crashes into the eighth floor. Also, it is up to Mario to save Noa’s life when she has a car accident. In addition, Willis admits to Rox that he needs her in his life, and the doctors gather in court to support Leanne for her custody hearing.
First aired: July 18. 2018.
What do you think? Do you like the Code Black TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for season four on CBS?
Please do not cancel Code Black. The public does learn a lot about doctors and nurses from shows like Code Black and we see first hand how hard they work to save our life’s.
This is one of a small number of TV shows we are sure go watch. Taking it off will be a mistake. Take the time to give this fine show another chance.
No it shouldn’t be cancelled, viewers are angry that it’s being cancelled, it’s the most intense medical drama since E.R… please don’t cancel it..
I think this is a great show & am really disappointed that it is being cancelled.
Its a good show! Why do they want to cancel? Arg…that’s awful.
My family watch Code Black each week and so not think it should be cancelled. CBS you want to put on crime shows and this was different from all of your others. If you don’t want it see if another will air the program instead and than will watch it on that channel.
Please reconsider and keep this program. I enjoy the stories and the wonderful cast. The quality of this program is a lot better than some others that are being renewed and I do not watch. Remove this one and I will have to check other networks for quality programs. I hope you will listen to the many people that like this program. Thanks for your consideration.
Please, please don’t cancel Code Black. I look forward to this show every week. It’s the best quality show of its kind out there, with top flight actors. You’ll restore my faith in network TV if you’ll renew Code Black again now and in the future.
We love Code Black. It has real drama and touching stories. Please don’t cancel.
I look forward to this show! Story lines are great and the acting is first class. Please keep this show as there are so few quality shows to watch.
I think you should leave this show alone,it is a damn good show. Why do we always have to lose a good show. Why take this show off take off one of them stupid reality shows, there is to many of them anyhow leave code black on please.
My husband and I love this show. I absolutely sit on the edge of my seat while watching most of the shows. We are not part of the demographics that you consider. You should take all ages into consideration. Please do not cancel this show!!! This is one of the best shows on TV right now. You should take off some of the stupid shows instead.
Best TV drama since West Wing! Should NOT be cancelled!! Please renew!
We loved this show and very upset it has been cancelled. Please reconsider.
this show is worth keeping, story lines are good, if ratings are bad move to different night. our dvr gets it when we are not home but we never miss a show
It seems to me that every time a good show comes on, it is cancelled within one to two seasons. Code Black is a prime example of this. Instead of rehashing all the old shows IE: Magnum PI, Roseann, The Rookie etc., I appreciate a good show with a fresh storyline such as Code Black.
