TV show description:
This gritty medical drama revolves around an Emergency Room in Los Angeles where underfunding and understaffing pile huge pressure on its staff. A “code black” is issued when the ER no longer has the manpower, capacity or equipment to operate effectively.
Doctor Leanne Rorish (Marcia Gay Harden) is the ER Residency Director. She’s a brilliant doctor and an experienced professional who often has to resort to her intuition as opposed to standard medical procedures in order to save lives. She reminds her staff that life is measured in split seconds and a moment of hesitation can be the difference between life and death.
On the flip side to Leanne’s risk-taking is Doctor Neal Hudson (Raza Jaffrey) who is constantly at odds with her cavalier attitude.
Leanne’s confidante is Senior Nurse Jesse Salander (Luis Guzman) who’s seen it all at the country’s most notorious ER. His job is to manage the residents. Like the other technicians, doctors and nurses, he is facing a daily battle to save lives under immense pressure.
Mario Savetti (Benjamin Hollingsworth), Christa Lorenson (Bonnie Somerville), Angus Leighton (Harry Ford) and Malaya Pineda (Melanie Chandra) are all first-year residents coming to terms with the harsh realities of their chosen profession.
Episode #47 — Business of Saving Lives
Angels Memorial descends into chaos when a plane crashes into the eighth floor. Also, it is up to Mario to save Noa’s life when she has a car accident. In addition, Willis admits to Rox that he needs her in his life, and the doctors gather in court to support Leanne for her custody hearing.
First aired: July 18. 2018.
What do you think? Do you like the Code Black TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for season four on CBS?
Please renew this show. It is my favorite.
I really enjoy watching this show! It is my favorite of all TV series. I will greatly miss this show. It would be nice if a spin-off came out of this.
Code Black is an excellent drama of not only medical situations but so many human interactions. Wed nite @ 10:00 EST is always on my schedule to watch the next episode. I sinserely hope this show is given at least another season – 4th.
I love code Black. I was shocked when I heard that tonight’s show is the series finale. Why? Don’t let this happen!
I really like this show. It combines a lot of elements that I enjoy: good drama and acting, good character and plot development. It would be a shame for this show to be permanently cancelled.
Been reading all the messages n everyone of them are sadden by the cancellation. CBS..are U listening to the viewers?! Instead of keeping shows like Big brothers which have no value n substance at all…feel sorry not just for the actors but people behind the screens. Please have some senses n bring the show back!!!!!!!!!
This is one of mine and my husband’s favorite show. I am quite disappointed that CBS would do this. Fans love the show. Do we matter at all?
PLEASE KEEP IT AROUND FOR NEXT SEASON. It’s a great show with great character development.
PLEASE do NOT cancel Code Black!!! It’s my favorite TV show!!! I grew up on Ben Casey and Dr. Kildaire, and this show is lightyears ahead of those those ancient shows.
Best medial drama out there. Should never have been cancelled. Does not deserve to be cancelled. CBS you are making a very big mistake. Please bring it back. Code Black would have beat out ER in its day. Keeps you on the edge of your seat with just the right amount of personal drama. Very engaging.
Great Show! Very engaging. Please bring it back! Does not deserve to be cancelled. The best medical drama out there. It would have beat ER in its day. Love the drama with just the right touch of personal stories.
Renewed. This is one of the better shows on TV
Good show. Great cast. Realistic drama. Sorry it is cancelled! CBS has many good shows this is one of their better ones!
No, Code Black should not be cancelled. It has tons of viewers from all over the world, and it is the hottest show CBS has in prime time. Please rethink the decision to cancel it, and make current viewers tremendously happy while gaining a gang of new ones. Love ya, Mama!
No, it should not be cancelled. It is such a intense heart warming keeps you on the edge of your seat since a lo v time. It was good to be able to watch something other than not so funny sitcoms or too many of the same type of military or police shows. Please renew it!!
