NBC has made a schedule change for the final Sunday of May sweeps, May 18th. The network has replaced Crisis and Believe with an encore of The Women of SNL.
While the Sunday night dramas haven’t been officially cancelled yet, they surely will be. Being pulled from the schedule during the sweeps period — replaced by a rerun of a clipshow, no less — is a very bad sign. The move isn’t a surprise though. Both Crisis and Believe have been performing terribly in the ratings.
Crisis is averaging a meager 1.1 in the 18-49 demographic with 4.48 million viewers. Believe is averaging a 1.3 in the demo with 5.45 million. Both shows drew a 1.0 in the demo this past Sunday and have each dropped below a ratings point in the past few weeks.
Both shows were already off the schedule this Sunday and are now expected to return on Sunday, May 25th. They each have 13 episodes in their respective seasons. Eight episodes of Crisis and nine episodes of Believe have aired so far.
Hopefully NBC will run all of the episodes. Hoepfully the finales will cap the series in satisfying ways. Unless there’s some kind of miracle, neither of these shows will be returning for a second season.
What do you think? If you were running the network, would you cancel both of these shows? Do you think one is better than the other?
I really enjoy believe and crisis and shows like them I am extremely glad that under the dome is coming back on in fact I am surprised because it was actually a good show not a stupid show like this stupid shows are the only thing that people want to watch which is not true we want good quality television I would also do whatever it takes to make this over the air digital antenna free TV to be a lot better working and coming in a lot better than it does now because more often than not I can… Read more »
it just goes to show they are going to more than likely cancel belive and crisis because there is not enough sex on it unfortunately in our immorel world that we live in sex sells because they’re a bunch of sex addicts out there that that’s all they want to see and it is nothing but sex addicts that run our networks for TVif it was me I would leave TV shows on TV like believe and crisis Enoch of shows like Saturday Night Live women of Saturday Night Live I would make Nightline an actual news show not a… Read more »

Well it figures, l finnaly found some shows worth watching on NBC and the big wigs decide to cancell them. Revolution, Crisis, Believe were good shows. But l guess that’s not whatNBC wants! NBC =No Brains Channel!
Both shows are good too bad they did nt make it
Love “Believe” that is really to bad to cancel such a great show. Great acting great story telling.
Believe is a good family show. No wonder the network doesn’t like it. Same with Crisis, a good adult show with cliffhanger episodes. Why would the network like this show? No sex drugs and gross factor.
My family loves believe, very disappointed if they cancel.
I am VERY disappointed that they are cancelling Believe, my whole family sits down to watch that one and only show and we LOVE IT!!! Very disappoint that the network is pulling it. Not watching the Woman of SNL.
EVERYONE!!!! Don’t just comment here. You all need to go to NBC’s page and tell them how you feel! Do as many times as you can. Everyone’s right about this show. It’s what TV use to be. It’s a great, decent show. Go to NBC and complain.
Keep believe! I love it. If you want to put a lame show on, put it on later in the night!
Very disheartening to find out that Believe is being dropped.
I’m so upset about Believe being cancelled. It’s one of my favorite shows.
I AM WATCHING BELIEVE ON CHANNEL 6. YEA CHANNEL 6 TO HECK WITH CHANNEL 12.

Sorry to hear that the show Believe is doing poorly. I feel its one of those shows that has good drama and a hopeful message at the same time. Love the little girl, Johnny, playing the lead character and Delroy Lindo who plays the Dr. Would love to see it succeed.
First, sorry about the typo “out” which should have been “our.” In addition, I will definitely NOT be watching The Women of SNL.
