This will be the first full season of Dallas without Larry Hagman’s JR Ewing. Can the cast and producers continue to draw viewers and solid ratings without their quintessential bad guy? Will the new Dallas be cancelled or renewed for a fourth season? Stay tuned to find out.
Airing on Monday nights, Dallas continues to follow the machinations of the dysfunctional and powerful Ewing clan. The cast includes Josh Henderson, Jesse Metcalfe, Jordana Brewster, Julie Gonzalo, Brenda Strong, Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray, Mitch Pileggi, Emma Bell, Kuno Becker, and Juan Pablo Di Pace.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.
Final season averages: 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.92 million total viewers.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Reference point: The second season of the new Dallas averaged a 0.8 demo rating and 2.67 million viewers.
Cable ratings are typically released within a day or so of the show’s airing, except for in the case of weekends and holidays. They are sometimes harder to come by so there may be occasional delays or gaps.
What do you think? Do you still like the Dallas series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a fourth season?
Update: TNT has cancelled Dallas after three seasons. Details here.
Why can’t they just return Dallas to TV? C’non you guys…quit messing with the crud you keep putting on TV and get real. Bring back Dallas!
Dallas should return to TV. Let the Ewings and Barnes keep going at it. This show was perfect. It was the best. Now it’s gone. Please bring it back.
I would jump for joy if Dallas were returned to TV. Miss that show big time.
I would say that Dallas was the best show ever that was cancelled for no good reason. Ad people think they know our tastes. But they just follow the bucks. This time I think they messed up. I hope Dallas returns.
Dallas was the best show. I really wish it were back on the air. That was cruel to cancel it. We really need to have a show this good back on TV.
I just can’t understand why they don’t bring back Dallas. It was the best show on TV. Dump all these reality and game shows and bring back Dallas please.
I wish Dallas was back. I miss this show.
I wish the TV producers would come to realize that Dallas was the most watched TV show. And that it was loved by millions. It must be hard to eat crow. Why don’t you get on with returning Dallas. It’s awfully awful on TV these days watching the junk that’s on. It would be better if HBO, Showtime etc had it so there would be less commercials too. Bring back Dallas please!
I would like it very much if Dallas was renewed so I can watch quality TV again. This show is like apple pie and home cooking. It should be renewed in any form and returned to TV. Please bring it back.
They say that the total viewer count for Dallas dropped somewhat and so they cancelled it. I think that’s BS. There were way more viewers than what they reported. TNT just wanted the young spend thrifters to watch. Folks, ad people are really bad people. They control more than you know.
Dallas was the king of night time soaps. It should be back on TV. This show is loved by everyone. Bring it back please.
I can’t think of any TV show I’d rather watch more than Dallas. Dallas is so missed. Why don’t you TV network people bring it back? It would be so much better than the stuff that’s on now.
Anything Dallas would be great. A mini series, TV movie(s)…anything. For TV, it’s the best thing there is. So what are you TV producers waiting for?…bring back Dallas!.
They should atleast do a mini-series or movie to give the show an ending. Dallas has too much history and should give the respect of a descent ending for the cast and viewers.
I sure wish they’d give Dallas another shot. When it was announced that it would be on TV again a few years ago, I jumped for joy. How could they do such a horrible thing in cancelling it? It’s really a crime. We want Dallas back!
