It looks like the fight to save the Dallas TV show is over — at least for now. After TNT cancelled the revival series after three seasons, fans rallied to save Dallas and studio Warner Horizon worked to find a new home. The latter’s efforts have come up empty.
Executive producer Cynthia Cidre and director Michael Robin released a joint statement to DallasDecoder to share the bad news:
Hi Friends,
Well, we have come to the end. After a 6-week attempt to try and land our beloved “Dallas” at another network, we have to inform you that we have not succeeded. Warner Horizon has attempted, in a Herculean way, to try and find us a new home, but at the end of the day it did not work out.
We so appreciate the outpouring of support by all of you, and the #SaveDallas campaign was a truly remarkable undertaking. We cannot fully express how much we loved making this show for you and with you. We had 3 wonderful years together, and we had the times of our lives bringing this iconic show back to television. Thank you for your support; thank you for your loyalty to our wonderful characters; and thank you for watching our show.
We wish you all our very best, and thank you again for loving “Dallas.”
With great admiration and appreciation,
Cynthia Cidre and Michael Robin
The new Dallas ran for three seasons on TNT and ended with several cliffhangers. Hopefully, Cidre and Robin will share what they had in mind for season four at some point.
What do you think? Are you sorry that Dallas won’t be returning for a fourth season? Would you like to see the Ewings come back some day?
They need to bring this show back immediately! Outraged by the actions to cancel this amazing show!
Gone to soon!! I would definitely love to see it come back as a series or movie! It brought back wonderful memories for me as I watched the original series with my dearest friend…my mother-in law. I loved the New Dallas as well but unfortunately my mother-in law passed in 2007. BRING IT BACK PLEASE!!
I think you should make a movie (if the other networks won’t pick up the show)so that we (the fans) can have some closure. It worked for Star Trek, maybe it will work for Dallas! We feel left out in the cold.
I cannot believe that you would cancel a show like Dallas leaving two cliffhangers after Season 3. You should be ashamed to leave your viewers without resolution of what happened. You owe your viewers an end to this series. YOU need to fix this. TNT is the pits if they do nothing!!!!
Tremendous show. So sorry it left the airwaves. Hope it comes back or at least has a final multi-hour finale to close it out!!!!

Bring it back! Loved this show!! Find a new home please!
Bring back Dallas! Only show I watched on TNT
I absolutely love this Show please bring it back. IF not I guess I will not watch any shows on TNT!! Every great show seems to fade for no good reason.
Please show season 4 somewhere even if it is on NETFLIX.
Bring back DALLAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Im so sick of us watching a very good show then we can not finish it …i truly loved this show..
I wish I had saved the last season. I had saved the last episode to watch again before the new season came back. And now now more Dallas. Very disappointing.
I recently watched the Season 3 episodes I saved, (so I could watch them again prior to Season 4.) This show has amazing actors and story lines! It’s unbelievable and disappointing that TNT cancelled it and no other network would pick it.
