It’s the end of the line for the Dallas TV show — for the second time. TNT has announced that they’ve cancelled the new Dallas TV show after three seasons.
A continuation of the successful CBS series from the 1970s, 80s and 90s, Dallas follows the machinations of two generations of the dysfunctional and powerful Ewing clan. The cast includes Josh Henderson, Jesse Metcalfe, Jordana Brewster, Julie Gonzalo, Brenda Strong, Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray, Mitch Pileggi, Emma Bell, Kuno Becker, and Juan Pablo Di Pace.
Year-to-year, season three of Dallas was down by 26% in viewership and down by 38% in the 18-49 demographic. It’s one of TNT’s lowest-rated scripted series and that certainly wasn’t a good sign for its chances of a fourth season.
In a statement, TNT said, “We are extremely proud of the series, which defied expectations by standing as a worthy continuation of the Ewing saga. We want to thank everyone involved with the show, from the extraordinary cast to the impeccable production team, led by the show’s creative forces, Cynthia Cidre and Mike Robin. We especially want to thank the people of Dallas for their warm and generous hospitality during the production of the series.”
Cidre and the writers have been working on scripts and ideas for a fourth season of Dallas so hopefully she’ll share what would have happened at some point.

Am hoping they do put it back on. Because we all look forward to watching Dallas. I always watched it when i was younger, then they brought it back, and now they canceled it again. Right when it was getting good.. which its always been good. I always loved this show.. So Please bring it back on tv. Thanks brenda

Sorry, but this show just didn’t have the same flair as the original. You cannot update a classic program with such a solid grounding as the original Dallas and try to make it appealing to a younger audience from another generation. And the feminist overtones throughout the new show was such a turn off!
I am so sad that Dallas isn’t returning for a fourth season!!! I really think that you should at least give it two more seasons to see if the ratings change. It was just beginning to get exciting and I was telling everyone I know to tune in for the up coming season! Is there any chance that you would reconsider???

Worried that after we after we lost JR the series would not stand on its own, but it did!
So sad it was cancelled. Please let it be picked up by another network that sees the potential for an entertaining potentially long running series. I definitely am looking forward to another season. Please someone see the amazing cast and their ability to deliver.
