ABC ANNOUNCES PREMIERE DATES FOR THE 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF “DANCING WITH THE STARS” AND THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF “AMERICA’S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS”
ABC today announced the premiere dates for the 10 year anniversary edition of “Dancing with the Stars,” MONDAY, MARCH 16 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET), and a special 25th anniversary episode of “America’s Funniest Home Videos,” SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 15 (7:00-8:00 p.m., ET).
“DANCING WITH THE STARS” (Monday, March 16, 8:00-10:01 p.m., ET)
“Dancing With the Stars” returns for its 20th season with an all-new celebrity cast– to be announced at a later date — who will brave the dance floor for the first time. Each week, these celebrities will leave their comfort zones and endure hours of grueling rehearsals to master technical choreography and entertaining performances. In the end, only one star will rise above the rest to be crowned champion and win the coveted mirror-ball trophy. Hosted by Emmy(R) Award-winning Tom Bergeron (“America’s Funniest Home Videos”) and Erin Andrews, “Dancing with the Stars” is the hit series in which celebrities perform choreographed dance routines judged by renowned ballroom judge Len Goodman and dancer/choreographers Bruno Tonioli, Carrie Ann Inaba and Julianne Hough. “Dancing with the Stars” is produced by BBC Worldwide Productions. Rob Wade, Ashley Edens-Shaffer and Joe Sungkur are executive producers.
AMERICA’S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS 25TH ANNIVERSARY (Sunday, February 15, 7:00-8:00 p.m., ET)
In honor of “America’s Funniest Home Videos'” 25th anniversary, ABC will celebrate the milestone with a special event, “AFV’s 25th Anniversary Celebrity Celebration.” Celebrity guests from ABC’s hit comedies, including Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross from “black-ish” and Cristela Alonzo from “Cristela,” will join AFV host Tom Bergeron to watch the best clips from the past 25 years. Viewers will not want to miss this special event as Anthony, Tracee and Cristela help pare down the funniest videos in AFV history. The live studio audience will then vote on their favorite clips to determine the winning video. The submitter of the winning video will receive a Caribbean Disney Cruise Line vacation for four. Hosted by Emmy Award winner Tom Bergeron, “America’s Funniest Home Videos” is the longest-running primetime entertainment show in the history of ABC. Vin Di Bona is Executive Producer, with Todd Thicke and Michele Nasraway also serving as executive producers.
What do you think? Are you looking forward to the new season of Dancing with the Stars? Will you watch the AFV special?
Looking forward to another season of DWTS. I love to watch dancing -and especially stars who work hard with their dance partners to dance for the world. I like the guests who are great and even those who are not so great. Dancing is a joy to do as well as wach others attempt to do very well , or the best that they can. Love the show
I don’t like this show at all I think it’s the dumbest thing on tv…it’s boring! who wants to watch have naked people shake it all over the place NOT ME ..
Barb…”who wants to watch have naked people shake it all over the place” I DO! If you don’t like it, DON’T WATCH IT!
I don’t naked woman is not my thing
hey Barb, how about fully naked people, would you watch then?!
Whether you are talking about Dancing With The Stars or America’s Funniest Videos, there aren’t any naked people on either show! LOL
yeah, I stop being a big fan years ago, but my wife still is, so I watch occasionally. Tom Bergeron is one of my favorites. I remember him when he was at WHEB in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, a radio station that was known for it’s comedy stuff that he hosted. He once called the Dalai Lama! I think I’m prejudiced though, because even though he won an Emmy, he’s also from my home state of New Hampshire. So they have it.
Two shows I’ve managed to live without.
The videos are not funny and I could care less if a star can dance. Many of these so called stars can’t really act either.
Exactly
YES, I am looking forward to viewing more dancers, both the pros and the contestants! And the great music of course.
