Is there still hope for Dark Matter? Recently, co-creator Joseph Mallozzi suggested there may be a chance for another season of the cancelled Syfy TV show.
As reported earlier, Syfy recently cancelled the space-set drama after three seasons. The cast includes Marc Bendavid, Melissa O’Neil, Anthony Lemke, Alex Mallari Jr, Jodelle Ferland, Roger Cross, and Zoie Palmer.
On his blog, Mallozzi revealed that other networks have expressed interest in saving Dark Matter. However, the co-creator also mentioned that time is running out to save the show as both the crew and the cast can’t wait forever.

Assemble a great cast and story lines, build up a loyal viewership for three seasons, and then yank the punch bowl off the table. This is Syfy’s brain dead doctrine – no wonder there hasn’t been anything like Stargate for a very long time at that network. A bunch of shortsighted nincompoops in charge these days. Dark Matter is a brilliant science fiction show – space opera is a fun ride when it’s done right.
I agree. Its a brilliant piece of work in the time honoured traditions of great sy fy shows. Someone reverse this or someone take it please……

Definitely a 4th season and more. The show is too good to be cancelled. It has vivid characters that became our buddies, good and rich plot, suspense, romance, action, everything!
One of the better Syfi series. Hope for a 4th season as how it ended season 3 was not an ending
This was probably the best show on SyFy. This should be a “no brainer” for another network to pickup. There will already be a loyal fan base anxious to see it back on the air!
Bring on Season 4 ( and 5,6,7….)
A miracle happened with Timeless in the spring…I hope this will be the 2nd resurrection from the dead this year!!
I would ABSOLUTELY watch a 4th season and beyond! Maybe increase viewership with better advertising.
Seriously need to renew Dark Matter. It was just starting to get interesting.

It is a challenge to find a tv series without overt violence, gore, foul language, or excess sex. This was one of those shows that evoked intellectual thought while allowing the viewer to get excited about the next wild ride. Please bring back!!!
If you HAVE to cancel it (bad move) at least give us a bloody conclusion! A long episode to round every thing up
This one of the better sci do storylines and execution is top level… so I want the story to be properly completed… if there us no taker for the series 4 continuation maybe a movie (like the Firefly series) coukd be an alternative for tying up all the loose ends… I must add for the networks that put these series out then drop them before completion of the story I am not going to watch any series like this without knowing before I start that the ending is done and dusted… Nobody would buy a book if the last chapters… Read more »
This is a crying shame, best show on television. The Syfy channel has a history of not showing commitment to its viewers.
Please find a way to continue the show thru season 4, and beyond.
