Did you miss Day Break on ABC last night? If so, you’re certainly not alone. We’ve been innundated with emails and traffic from people looking for details on what’s happened to the Taye Diggs series.
For those who don’t know, Day Break has been pulled from primetime by ABC after just six episodes due to low ratings. The on-going storyline is hardly resolved with seven unaired episodes left in the season. ABC has said they will post episodes (one per week) on their website but many people don’t have a powerful enough computer, can’t access the Internet long enough to watch, don’t have a fast Internet connection or, for many other reasons, simply can’t view the episodes. In short, millions of people who could have seen future episodes on free network television, will never see this excellent series — and we think the decision-makers should know.
So, we’re inviting you to sign a petition that asks the network and the production companies (Gross Entertainment and Touchstone Television) to release the series so that more people can see it — to return the series to network TV or at the least, to release it on DVD. With enough interest, there could even be a second season or a movie.
Let your friends, neighbors and co-workers know — anyone who misses Day Break — where they can find this petition. Naturally, the more names are collected, the better.

We, the undersigned have enjoyed much of your programming, particularly the outstanding Day Break series. We have enjoyed the Taye Diggs series each week and are dismayed that it has been pulled from the primetime schedule.
We believe that the ratings have not accurately shown the show’s popularity for success. After just six episodes, we believe that Day Break was not given enough time to fully establish a potentially huge audience. Please remember that many very popular shows like MASH, 24 and Cheers were not immediate hits.
We understand that ABC is posting the remaining episodes online but, for a variety of reasons, millions of people are not able to see these episodes — resulting in lost viewership for you and disappointment and frustration for them.
We respectfully request that you return Day Break to network television and to consider continuing production of further episodes or even a film. At the very least, we ask that you make the existing episodes available to a wider audience via a DVD release.

I only started to watch the show on abc.com yesturday and i couldn’t stop. I stayed up the entire night just watching the show and getting hooked on. I believe the show had a great cast and please bring it back, i’m sure that the ratings for the show would go up and the only problem was possibly the timeing during the holidays. with a few more tries hopefully the show can be renewed and the ratings will go up. PLEASE ABC BRING IT BACK. thank you

Poorly advertised!!! The commercials for daybreak made it sound like it was going to be a boring series. I didn’t watch on tv and have recently seen it online. I was blown away with how good it is. I’m currently watching the 7th episode and can’t wait to see more.
By the way. Whoever decided to put the past shows online is a genius! I never have to miss an episode of Lost or Desperate house wives and wonder what happened and ABC still gets to advertise.
Amazing show!! The best show of the season in my opinion! It pales in comparison to this season of Lost and even beats Heroes in my humble opinion! I would so love to see another season of this show, if not more. The show just draws you in and never lets you go, it makes you just hunger for more and more. ABC, I guarantee you I will buy the season 1 DVD set if and when you release it. Bring it back and bring us another season and I will not miss a single episode period! I just finished watching the series finale… Why they cancelled this show it was beyond me! I watched 6 epidosed is two days because I couldn’t get enough! They need to bring this television show back! They diodn’t give it enough time for viewers to catch hold of this show! Mr. Diggs had magic in this show! It kept my sister and three other of my friends wanting more! We had a Day Break night when the show came on! Bring it Back!
My theory is simple…they were setting things up for season 2.

We just found out about this petition! We have enjoyed Day Break and found it to be an awesome show! We cannot for the life of us figure out why the show was REALLY pulled. But, please place it back on the air. While the remaining episodes (including what you call a series finale) are posted, the show could really go on allot longer. Day Break is an awesome show!! I wish they would make and air a second season. Taye Diggs was great and should be given another chance, ABC is making a big mistake in keeping this show off the air. There are so many questions that need to be answered, like why the day repeated in the first place, the other guy, whose day repeated also and what happened to Chad and El Lloron? Did he kill the Sherrifs or himself? ABC should bring it back.
Does anyone have a theory as to what was going on in the bus (Fencik and Buckholder apparently on their way to jail) along with the “crying man”, who removes his handcuffs and has a pistol on his lap? I didn’t catch this little twist until I watched the series finale a second time. Ergh! Chad, Jared, and now crying man…..and as someone posted earlier, why the loop in the first place?
I’m in the military and station overseas. I visit home for the Thanksgiving holiday and started watching the show Day break. Daybreak is a great series and I fell in loved with the show. Please reconsider a 2nd series for Daybreak, or at the very least a DVD release. Thank you
