Even though the ratings for DC’s Legends of Tomorrow TV show continued to fall last year, and it slipped out of the top three, it was still ranked in the top half of scripted series on The CW. Now that it’s back for a fourth season, can it make legendary comeback in the ratings, or will it continue its decline? Will DC’s Legends of Tomorrow be cancelled or renewed for season five? Stay tuned. **Status update below.
A DC Comics inspired CW action-adventure series, Legends of Tomorrow stars Brandon Routh, Caity Lotz, Dominic Purcell, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Nick Zano, Tala Ashe, Ramona Young, Tom Wilson, Matt Ryan, Jes Macallan, and Courtney Ford. In the fourth season, Constantine (Ryan) arrives to explain to the Legends that “Fugitives” — magical creatures from myths, fairy tales, and legends — have infected history, as a consequence of killing of Mallus.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.

For comparisons: The third season of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow averaged a 0.48 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.505 million total viewers (Live+SD).
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the DC’s Legends of Tomorrow TV series? Should this CW TV show be cancelled or renewed for a fifth season?
**1/31/2019 Status Update: DC’s Legends of Tomorrow has been renewed for season five on The CW. Details here.
Too much mixed reviews (S.1)
I really hope DC legends gets renewed for a season 5! They’ve really developed something special in season 3 and it’s just picked up momentum since then. It’s different and fresh and quirky without trying to hard. This season it’s been great to see Charlie and Nora. I hope the writers continue to explore the relationship between Charlie and Zari, as well as Ray and Nora. They would make great couples in my opinion and if there is any show on the cw that can give us two main wlw couples I hope it’s this one.
this season has been an absolute mess . actually the whole arrowverse has been awful but i am surprised how bad l.o.t has gotten since half way through s3 …
LOT is now season4 arrow bad .
Agreed total mess
Renew with matt Ryan’s Constantine or give him his own show back!!!!!!
Legends has a lot of overseas viewers so this view count means nothing a lot of people support the Arrow Verse shows but I think the main problem is a lot of people from outside America Pirate The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl and Legends just because they don’t like to wait for the episodes to be released in their country’s or on Netflix they should release the episodes all at the same time world wide then you would truly see the popularity and view counts of these TV shows go up!
The Legends of Tomorrow should have a season 5 so they can add villains from other CW superhero shows to be in season 5!
The villains should be Diaz working with the main villain that should be Reverse Flash because he will want to bring the greek myths into history
