George Lucas is now a part of the DC universe. Recently, Legends of Tomorrow EP Marc Guggenheim revealed the Star Wars creator will be featured in season two of the CW TV series, EW reports.
The action drama follows a group of time-traveling superheroes that include Rip Hunter, Atom, White Canary, Firestorm, and Reverse Flash. The cast includes Brandon Routh, Victor Garber, Arthur Darvill, Dominic Purcell, Caity Lotz, Franz Drameh, Nick Zano, Amy Pemberton, Matt Letscher, and Maisie Richardson-Sellers.
Speaking to EW, Guggenheim mentioned an upcoming episode of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will see the gang visit late ’60s Los Angeles, right when a young Lucas was getting his start in film:
Because of circumstances, the time aberration in episode 209 is George Lucas quits film school. As a result, he never makes Star Wars or Raiders of the Lost Ark. As a result, Ray, who became an engineer because of Star Wars, and Nate, who became a historian because of Raiders, slowly start to lose their brilliance, because those things that inspired them to become who they are didn’t exist.”
Legends of Tomorrow returns to The CW on January 24th.
