Despite a big decline in ratings, Syfy has picked up their Defiance TV show for a third season of 13 episodes.
The Defiance TV show takes place in the year 2047 — some 30 years after various alien races arrived on Earth. The town of Defiance (what used to be St. Louis) stands as an example of how humans and aliens can live harmoniously (mostly) together. The cast includes Grant Bowler, Julie Benz, Stephanie Leonidas, Jaime Murray, Tony Curran, Graham Greene, Jesse Rath, Nicole Munoz, Dewshane Williams, Jim Murray, Anna Hopkins, and William Atherton.
The second season of Defiance averaged 1.56 million viewers, down 25% from the first season’s viewership of 2.09 million.

syfy takes to long to bring ther shows back. thats why they did not finsh farscape. syfy take notice of amc the walking dead. stay loyal to your shows.

I enjoy the show and cannot wait for it to return. The time between seasons is far too long and some people lose their interest when this happens. Just bring the show back.
I like the show. Maybe if they didn’t wait so long between the last show and the first show of the next season the ratings would do better.

My Wife & I rarely find shows that be both like to watch together… this is perhaps one of 4 that we bother to keep up with… we love it… can’t wait for it… and frankly getting a little worried as to why we aren’t seeing any ads for it coming up!!!!!!!

Excellent show. We need more well written sci-fi tv shows. Enough with all the reality tv crap. Where is the next Stargate , Farscape or BSG ?

I like the show, good SciFi. Re ratings decline… with so few episodes in a ‘season’, it is VERY tough to maintain a high degree of enthusiasm.

Yes I agree. Enjoyed doesn’t quite explain how I love defiance. It was entertaining watch Stelma manipulate and how Nolan and ilrisa watch over and protect one another til that rebirth of her past came to claim it’s place. Just an all out good show. Can’t wait til it returns
