Though Disney Channel hasn’t made any official announcement, it appears that their family sitcom Dog with a Blog is ending with season three. Members of the cast are feeling pretty emotional about wrapping up filming.
On Tuesday, co-star Beth Littleford tweeted the above photo and wrote, “#DWAB final scene on the final day of shooting #SingleTear (actually #OpenMouthedSobbing).” The tweet has since been deleted.
On Instagram, co-star Genevieve Hannelius posted photos and wrote, “Dog With a Blog season 3 wrap party. They are some of my best friends and working with people you love is so special and wonderful. I feel so grateful. Thank you to our dedicated and supportive DWAB fans- I hope we made you all proud. I’m excited for you all to see the rest of season 3! new episode this Friday!!
On the Twitter account for Mick (who plays the show’s title character) a message reads “WHAT! It’s our last day!!! #DWAB #stan”. On Stan the dog’s Instagram account, this photo was posted and titled simply “Goodbye Dog with a Blog.”
There is a positive side for fans of Dog with a Blog however. All indications are that there are many new episodes on the way and they will be airing well into 2015. Season two had 24 episodes.

I want a season 4 of dog with a blog. I truly enjoy watching the show. I love the cast and I always look forward to seeing it. We need more shows like this on TV. Please keep this show on the air!!

We hadn’t heard it was ending and just watched tonight. At the end I right away said, “is this a season finale?” We looked it up and…yup. My 9-year old is distraught. It was her “favorite show of all time.”

This is one of the few Disney shows that doesn’t drive me crazy with mean and bad kids and it’s funny. My daughter is literally crying that this show is done. What a huge mistake! If not keeping DWAB on air, then make a spinoff about the puppies- my daughter’s idea.

I loved this show! It had real drama. It sounds stupid but it’s not! A show that needs to go is jessie. It’s mindless ans stupid, and has been around longer than DWAB. I’m really gonna miss it! 🙁

Unbeknownst to my 7-year old daughter and I, apparently we just watched our last episode of Dog with a Blog…WHAT!? When did THAT happen!? Funniest, most age appropriate, well-written, and wonderfully cast show on Disney! We are so bummed!
