The peacock network has found ratings success with the dark Grimm series on Friday nights. Is there room for another spooky thriller or will Dracula be cancelled quickly like so many other series? Stay tuned!
NBC’s Dracula is a retelling of the classic Bram Stoker story. In London, Dracula (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) is posing as an American entrepreneur while he seeks revenge on those who cursed him. He doesn’t count on falling in love with a woman (Jessica De Gouw) who looks just like his deceased wife. Others in the cast include Thomas Kretschmann, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Victoria Smurfit, Katie McGrath, and Nonso Anozie.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/10 update: NBC has cancelled Dracula after one season and 10 episodes.
Final season averages: 1.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 3.25 million total viewers.

Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Dracula TV series? Would you like to see it cancelled or renewed for second season?
The only thing I have to say is remember series that were cancelled before their time I.e. Firefly. Which now has a huge following. Give Dracula a chance! It is better written and better acted then Vampire Diaries!
Please do not cancel this show!!! This show has dramatically changed Friday nit TV!
I am not easily impressed when it comes to tv series but I must say that this particular series is captivating and full of surprises. I don’t believe I have seen more than one advertisement for this show. Those that I have talked to who have not seen it say that they have heard it is great. We are asking the wrong question and should really be discussing nominations!
I started on the second episode and I feel in love with this show. DO NOT CANCEL IT. Move it to Thursday.
Don’t cancel Dracula. Interesting twists on the characters gives them much more depth. I like Renfield, Lucy, all really. Especially Dracula himself.
I caught up with Dracula on the fourth episode and now I can’t wait to watch it every Friday! Please don’t cancel!!!
I think if they moved it to ABC it would definitely do better. I loved the show!!!
Yes, yes, please bring “Dracula” back for another season. Best show on TV! Best show on Friday nights. Really holds your attention. Great actors. Great storyline. Classic tale with a new twist. And I can’t say enough about Jonathan Rhys Myers. He is fantastic, sexy, mysterious. Plays the role extremely well and so convincing. Please I want to see more.
For sure I would love another season! It started slow but really got good! I love the show and would be sad to see it go!
