It looks like the magic is over for the three ladies of Eastwick. ABC network has decided against ordering any additional episodes of the supernatural series, effectively cancelling it.
Eastwick revolves around three women (Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, and Jaime Ray Newman) who meet at a wishing fountain and become friends. Soonafter, mysterious Darryl Van Horne (Paul Gross) moves to town and unleashes powers within the ladies. The cast also includes Ashley Benson, Johann Urb, Jon Bernthal, Sara Rue, and Veronica Cartwright.
The show got off to a slow start on September 23rd with a 3.0 rating in the 18-49 demo and 8.5 million total viewers. The second installment fell to a 2.3 in the demo and 6.57 million viewers. The third week fell again to a 1.8 and 5.14 million.

In the weeks that followed, the ratings didn’t get any better and more frequently got worse. Last week, Eastwick hit an all-time low of 1.5 in the demo and 4.4 million.
ABC has opted to pull the show from the schedule for two weeks. This Wednesday, it’s replaced by the Country Music Awards. Next week, it’s being bumped for an interview special called In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Janet Jackson. Though Eastwick is scheduled to return on Thanksgiving eve with a new episode, the supernatural drama won’t be around for long after that.
ABC has decided not to order any additional episodes of Eastwick, effectively cancelling the series after 13 episodes. It’s unknown if the last episode will wrap up the ongoing storylines. For now, ABC plans to air all six remaining installments but, if the ratings keep declining, the network could easily pull the series before that happens.

My husband and I cannot believe that Eastwick has been cancelled. We looked forward to watching Eastwick on Wednesday nights. All of the other TV series on this network (except Cougar Town) should have been cancelled and not Eastwick. Eastwick was very entertaining, had plots and great actors! Now we are left hanging to never know what happened next. TV in general has too many reality shows and not enough good series like Eastwick. There wasn’t enough promotion for this show and of course the time of year it came out didn’t help. PLEASE BRING EASTWICK BACK!!!
So after showing us the previews for the following week am I to understand we’ll never see the last two episodes? They just left the people who were faithfully watching to never know what happened to any of them? I won’t be watching anymore abc programming I can guarantee you that. I’m done . It is no wonder abc is floundering , they have idiots in control.
I’m so bummed!! This is a great show with a wonderful and entertaining cast. Hopefully ABC will reconsider.
i cannot beleive that you cancelled eastwick, once again , not enough promotion and not enough time to get the following it so richly deserves. look what would have happened if they went ahead and cancelled 30 rock like they were going to. i think you are being to hasty with this decision.
I LOVE this show. I can’t believe there are so many stupid reality shows on but they want to take this one off. Takr off that stupid shows like “Ugly Betty””Modern Family” or “The Middle.” I will miss Eastwick but if that is taken off I will go back to reading books and read or watch another network.

I loved the show and wish you would bring it back.
The network didn’t promote this show and certainly didn’t give it a chance. I’m so sick and tired of my favorite shows being pulled, especially when the season hasn’t even completed. Women need a few fluff, female based shows. I loved Eastwick and so did all my friends. Obviously there are no women working in the programming department at ABC!! I’m just disgusted with Television in general. It’s back to reading for me, at least I know I’ll get to read it all the way through and know how it ends.
WHY, WHY, WHY. EASTWICK WAS A GREAT, ENTERTAINING SHOW AND GREAT CAST. YOU DIDN’T GIVE IT A CHANCE. PLEASE AT LEAST SHOW THE REMAINING EPISODES. BETTER YET BRING THE SHOW BACK.

I loved that show. I watched all the time. I think it is unfair to viewers that feel in love with the show to just end it with no real closure. I thought the show was entertaining and kept me wanting more. I aM VERY UPSET THAT THE SHOW IS CANCELLED.
seriously YOU CANCELED IT!! I loved the show, watched every episode. I’m really pissed. And what do they replace it with Ugly Betty. I surprised Ugly Betty hasn’t been canceled its not even a good show, hear that ABC. And geez i mean you could have atleast played the last episodes or better just resolved it the serious, had it end in the next episode. Daryl is evil and Daryl Dies the end. As a published author who has written about the supernatural, I must admit I fell in love with this show. I am highly against ABC pulling the plug on it 🙁
I can’t believe that you ( ABC ) would cancel Eastwick !! There were alot of my family and friends that LOVE that series ! I looked forward every Wed. night to be able to watch it and when it wasn’t on I truly missed it. It seems that all the really good and entertaining shows go off the air. Maybe you should consider taking some of those really stupid ones off like Modern Family or In the Middle. Now those really suck among some others you air! I am in shock too! I really thought this show was going to be a hit! Please, please don’t cancel this show!!!!! It’s the only show I stay up for. i will tell all my friends about it starting tonight. I love the story and I can’t wait to see what happens next.
