It looks like the magic is over for the three ladies of Eastwick. ABC network has decided against ordering any additional episodes of the supernatural series, effectively cancelling it.
Eastwick revolves around three women (Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, and Jaime Ray Newman) who meet at a wishing fountain and become friends. Soonafter, mysterious Darryl Van Horne (Paul Gross) moves to town and unleashes powers within the ladies. The cast also includes Ashley Benson, Johann Urb, Jon Bernthal, Sara Rue, and Veronica Cartwright.
The show got off to a slow start on September 23rd with a 3.0 rating in the 18-49 demo and 8.5 million total viewers. The second installment fell to a 2.3 in the demo and 6.57 million viewers. The third week fell again to a 1.8 and 5.14 million.

In the weeks that followed, the ratings didn’t get any better and more frequently got worse. Last week, Eastwick hit an all-time low of 1.5 in the demo and 4.4 million.
ABC has opted to pull the show from the schedule for two weeks. This Wednesday, it’s replaced by the Country Music Awards. Next week, it’s being bumped for an interview special called In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Janet Jackson. Though Eastwick is scheduled to return on Thanksgiving eve with a new episode, the supernatural drama won’t be around for long after that.
ABC has decided not to order any additional episodes of Eastwick, effectively cancelling the series after 13 episodes. It’s unknown if the last episode will wrap up the ongoing storylines. For now, ABC plans to air all six remaining installments but, if the ratings keep declining, the network could easily pull the series before that happens.

Both my wife and I thought it was a GREAT show ! Give it another shot ? Actors were witty, and intelligent…not like so may series…..Please reconsider……

Hi, I watch the show every week. My DVR tapes it because it comes on late and during the week and honestly, my husband usually has control of the remote so I tape it and watch the next morning when he is gone to work. I have watched the last episode which was #9 and do not see another sceduled for the next 2 weeks. Has it been cancelled because another show is in now in its time slot. I think more promotion and a better time slot would help the ratings.

it would be a big hit…..Maybe move the time slot but, don’t trow in the towel just yet….Why do all the good shows get dumped and they leave a lot of junk on TV?
these people at abc need to give shows a chance. Now a days if the show isn’t a hit from the first episode it’s canceled that sucks big time..there are so many shows from way back when, that stared off slow and became a big hit..abc execs..u suck i loved this show and many others u have canceled..give shows a chance to grow a fan base…
PLEASE DONT CANCEL EASTWICK! IT’S A GREAT SHOW AND I ALWAYS LOOKED FORWARD TO WATCHING IT. THE SHOW WAS DEFINATELY NOT ADVERTISED ENOUGH.

A complete lack of advertisement!!!! I NEVER once saw a commercial for it on TV. I happened to come across a banner on foodnetwork.com. I have never seen another since. It seems as though most other comments here are the same. Come on, give the show a chance!!! It’s magical, mischevious and sexy. The banter/sexual tension between Daryll and Roxi is electrifying. Bunns character is played by an original cast member in the original movie, Witches Of Eastwick. I really HATE that they cancelled Eastwick. I love the show, the girls, the storyline. We need another withcy show. Maybe Fox will pick it up. Friday night is a good night for this type of show. There is nothing on TV anymore & I never missed a show. PLEASE someone else pick it up. Take off all of the other bad show you have on TV ABC. God knows you have enough bad show to choose from.

Yes, once again another good show cancelled. ABC, please at least show the rest of the episodes. Hopefully it will be picked up by another network or maybe ABC will reconsider?????
I never get addicted to a TV show but I did this one. I liked the characters and the plot was interesting. It wasn’t the same old I bet I can guess the plot line. It sure would help if the stations would quit playing with the schedules. What happened to the old days when a series came on in September and ran till May unless cancelled and then reruns started. Now if I don’t use my DVR I never know when a new episode is on because they run 2 or 3 episodes and then reruns for a few… Read more »
This was a fun show and all my friends and I loved it. All the good shows get cancelled and it is extremely upsetting, I hate getting involved anymore. There really are so many stupid trashy shows on it is unbelievable. I guess I will have to stick to HGTV. ABC is losing a certain audience really quickly with all those shows it has on, take off those pathetic reality shows with those people no one cares about (except Biggest Loser). I hope another channel picks up the show. PLEASE!!
