It looks like the magic is over for the three ladies of Eastwick. ABC network has decided against ordering any additional episodes of the supernatural series, effectively cancelling it.
Eastwick revolves around three women (Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, and Jaime Ray Newman) who meet at a wishing fountain and become friends. Soonafter, mysterious Darryl Van Horne (Paul Gross) moves to town and unleashes powers within the ladies. The cast also includes Ashley Benson, Johann Urb, Jon Bernthal, Sara Rue, and Veronica Cartwright.
The show got off to a slow start on September 23rd with a 3.0 rating in the 18-49 demo and 8.5 million total viewers. The second installment fell to a 2.3 in the demo and 6.57 million viewers. The third week fell again to a 1.8 and 5.14 million.

In the weeks that followed, the ratings didn’t get any better and more frequently got worse. Last week, Eastwick hit an all-time low of 1.5 in the demo and 4.4 million.
ABC has opted to pull the show from the schedule for two weeks. This Wednesday, it’s replaced by the Country Music Awards. Next week, it’s being bumped for an interview special called In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Janet Jackson. Though Eastwick is scheduled to return on Thanksgiving eve with a new episode, the supernatural drama won’t be around for long after that.
ABC has decided not to order any additional episodes of Eastwick, effectively cancelling the series after 13 episodes. It’s unknown if the last episode will wrap up the ongoing storylines. For now, ABC plans to air all six remaining installments but, if the ratings keep declining, the network could easily pull the series before that happens.

So sad they are pulling the plug on this show. It’s well written and great fun to watch. Once again the network just doesn’t get it to let a good show run long enough to develop a strong audience. Perhaps advertising the show would produce more watchers… hello. What are we going to get??? More reality shows – PLEASE NO. So boring.

I’m so sad right now that this show is being cancelled… my mom and I would watch it every Wednesday night together. It was different yet interesting…way to go ABC, losers!

THIS SHOW IS THE BEST SITCOM I HAVE SEEN. MOST OF THEM ARE SO MUNDANE I WATCH ONCE AND NEVER BOTHER AGAIN. THE CHEMISTRY OF THE ACTORS WAS ALSO FANTASTIC. IT IS ASHAMED THESE EXECUTIVES HAVE NO INSIGHT. THEY CANCEL CLASSICS LIKE GILLIGANS ISLAND, BEVERLY HILLBILLIES AND STAR TREK AND REPLACED THEM WITH GARBAGE. WE WILL PROBABLY GET AS A REPLACEMENT SOME STUPID COP THRILLER TO ADD TO THE HUNDREDS WE ALREADY HAVE. YOU PEOPLE MAKE ME SICK.
Why is it that I really get into a show and it gets cancelled. Cave Man, Lipstick Jungle and now Eastwick. So frustrating.
You’ve got to be kidding. With all the rediculous tv to choose from, yes, the reality shows or bloody “who murder who” I found a show that I really enjoy with funny characters who I thought related to each other well. Most of my friends didn’t know anything about it, and I found it by accident. I think that it was just not advertised well.
This is one of the cutest shows on Tv.
I am ready to stop watching tv altogehter because everytime I get interested in something… it’s gone. Whoever plans these shows should be shot.

Eastwick is an amazing show……actors are hot…..story lines are hot….give it a chance.
NO… I can’t believe they cancelled that show I loved it… It’s one of the few shows that was really good..this season…
Why doesn’t everyone start contacting any of the other channels to see if they would pick up the series? If ABC can’t bring it back and move it to a better time slot (it was up against Leno for example), then petition other networks to obtain it and bring it back…..just an idea….

Noooo! Please don’t let Eastwick be cancelled so soon. i look forward to this show – it’s strange but different, in a good way and Darryl Van Horne (Paul Gross) is not bad to watch either! Worse shows have stayed on – give it another try.
Please don’t pull the plug on Eastwick. I really think it was not advertised enough. I found it by accident one evening had no idea it was on. You would be surprised by advertising shows before they start you could actually increase ratings why not trying that?
I loved watching this show!! It did come on a little to late. Most women are to tired after a long day to stay up and watch it. The worst part is the show will probably be replaced with a reality show and those I never watch I dislike the whole concept of those shows. I agree all the good shows are never given a chance to do well. Rome wasn’t built in day. Eastwick is one of the few shows of it’s type I’ve ever enjoyed. I will miss it. It anchored the night for me with the much touted and promoted Cougar Town benefitting from running ahead of it. With the tired Ugly Betty now in Eastwick’s slot, there’s no longer an ABC evening for me.
