It looks like the magic is over for the three ladies of Eastwick. ABC network has decided against ordering any additional episodes of the supernatural series, effectively cancelling it.
Eastwick revolves around three women (Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, and Jaime Ray Newman) who meet at a wishing fountain and become friends. Soonafter, mysterious Darryl Van Horne (Paul Gross) moves to town and unleashes powers within the ladies. The cast also includes Ashley Benson, Johann Urb, Jon Bernthal, Sara Rue, and Veronica Cartwright.
The show got off to a slow start on September 23rd with a 3.0 rating in the 18-49 demo and 8.5 million total viewers. The second installment fell to a 2.3 in the demo and 6.57 million viewers. The third week fell again to a 1.8 and 5.14 million.

In the weeks that followed, the ratings didn’t get any better and more frequently got worse. Last week, Eastwick hit an all-time low of 1.5 in the demo and 4.4 million.
ABC has opted to pull the show from the schedule for two weeks. This Wednesday, it’s replaced by the Country Music Awards. Next week, it’s being bumped for an interview special called In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Janet Jackson. Though Eastwick is scheduled to return on Thanksgiving eve with a new episode, the supernatural drama won’t be around for long after that.
ABC has decided not to order any additional episodes of Eastwick, effectively cancelling the series after 13 episodes. It’s unknown if the last episode will wrap up the ongoing storylines. For now, ABC plans to air all six remaining installments but, if the ratings keep declining, the network could easily pull the series before that happens.

WHAT !! Im so pissed off they cancelled Eastwick. I think if it wasn’t for all of the interruptions ofm the show the ratings would be off the hook, plus they replaces it with UGLY BETTY!!… OMG get real I would rather watch re-runs of Eastwick every week than ugly betty… It was misterious and sexy, kind of like a dream of suduction, but with real life experiences at the same time. I loved it. It will be a truly missed show, Hopefully ABC opens their eyes and comes out with more episodes… Pissed in Ohio
Way to go ABC!!! I loved Eastwick! I looked forward to watching it on Wednesday nights. It followed The Middle and Modern Family. Wednesday night was the only good night to watch TV. I can’t believe ABC cancelled such a well written show. Eastwick was mysterious, sexy and captivating. All the characters were so much fun to watch. Maybe Fox or the WB should pick it up. It seems like the best shows these days are on the smaller networks! Wake up ABC!!! We are sick of all the reality shows.
I just copied the comment I left here (*and corrected the word took, sorry!) and went to contact ABC (google search) I easily left the message there with the people who need to hear it. I fully encourage people to do the same about any show they invest in and care about! Save decent TV!!!

I am really bummed to hear they cancelled this show!! I really liked it………….not another crime or reality show!!! It was funny, quirky and a little risky! ABC really????
I LOVED THIS SHOW!!! So sad to see another of the shows for a mixed audience, well produced, shot, directed, and acted, go away due to ??? I would really appreciate it if these networks tok into account how many hours we put into these shows, and the interest and bonds we have with the story and characters. Please, could they at LEAST wrap them up so our curiosity can be eased. In the last year or so I have lost HOURS AND HOURS to shows like this one, Lipstick Jungle, Samantha Who, Privileged, and more. I am so disapointed that the show is being cancelled. What a huge big fat bummer. First of all the actress are better than any CSI actor or actress. The story line is inventive and fun. What a loss for ABC.
I can’t believe you are cancelling this show. It is very original and creative and after stress from a work day you can lose yourself in it. It is much better than all the reality show garbage that is on almost every channel.
Bring Eastwick back! I looked so forward to watching every week. Very disappointed. I see two problems with all networks these days:
*Moving line-ups too often. I don’t have time to hunt for my favorites. This may have something to do with lower ratings.
*Way, Way, Way too many Reality shows. Stop this. They fuel bad behavior.

I loved this show!! Told a few friends about it, and they liked it too. It just needed more time for people to get to know about it. My mom loved it too. They have to bring it back!
Ya I think alot of people did but they just never gave it a chance. The next episode would of been good too. And they just take it away. Stupid network

I also loved this show. I hate that networks pull the plug on shows without even giving them a real chance. I am not a fan of Ugly Betty either and wonder why it’s still around. ABC is just another real let down. They really messed up Grey’s Anatomy for me too, so don’t watch it anymore. Guess I’ll have to stick to the few other things I look forward too each week – and they aren’t on the big 4 networks. ABC’s foresight is just as messed up as NBC’s – and that is bad.
Wish this show would continue… I just got into it. It seems like every other week it would not be on, so maybe if it were guaranteed on schedule it could get a lot better ratings.
