It looks like the magic is over for the three ladies of Eastwick. ABC network has decided against ordering any additional episodes of the supernatural series, effectively cancelling it.
Eastwick revolves around three women (Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, and Jaime Ray Newman) who meet at a wishing fountain and become friends. Soonafter, mysterious Darryl Van Horne (Paul Gross) moves to town and unleashes powers within the ladies. The cast also includes Ashley Benson, Johann Urb, Jon Bernthal, Sara Rue, and Veronica Cartwright.
The show got off to a slow start on September 23rd with a 3.0 rating in the 18-49 demo and 8.5 million total viewers. The second installment fell to a 2.3 in the demo and 6.57 million viewers. The third week fell again to a 1.8 and 5.14 million.

In the weeks that followed, the ratings didn’t get any better and more frequently got worse. Last week, Eastwick hit an all-time low of 1.5 in the demo and 4.4 million.
ABC has opted to pull the show from the schedule for two weeks. This Wednesday, it’s replaced by the Country Music Awards. Next week, it’s being bumped for an interview special called In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Janet Jackson. Though Eastwick is scheduled to return on Thanksgiving eve with a new episode, the supernatural drama won’t be around for long after that.
ABC has decided not to order any additional episodes of Eastwick, effectively cancelling the series after 13 episodes. It’s unknown if the last episode will wrap up the ongoing storylines. For now, ABC plans to air all six remaining installments but, if the ratings keep declining, the network could easily pull the series before that happens.

I think they should give it a chance. Learn a lesson from past shows. They said that ST Voyager would never make it past its first season, but it made it 7 seasons. Who would have believed that Charmed would make it 8 seasons? The audience is there, they just need to get the word out, and viewers will find it and watch it. I was really disappointed that Eastwick was cancelled. It is so hard to find a show that is not reality tv or something to that effect. I was so excited that I had a show to replace Charmed and now Eastwick only last 13 episodes. Also, I was really upset that they left so many questions unanswered.

People will never learn quality if they are constantly fed same old hum drum cops and robbers and lawyer series…. You know…. same stories just different actors and sets… Sooo boring year after year, decade after decade!

oh please don’t tease me like that, did you really hear that it is being re considered ?? I hope so, because if I hated that it’s hour was almost up and I had to wait another week to see it again, you can imagine how much i am hating not seeing it at all!!!
I think that was a stupid decision to cancel Eastwick just when it was starting to get good. I have seen Witches of Eastwick, but this was a good show. Dam TV stations lol. Bring it back for another season………

It’s horse s_ _ _, finally a good show that held interest instead of the garbage that remains on year after year. I think many shows are shakey in the beginning, but you could see it was coming together.
Do these witchy shows last? Well, you couls ask Samantha, Daren and Endora, that show did kind of OK.

Please do not cancel the show is the only show that I like on TV beside most of the shows are the same about medical things or police episodes, they are been repeated on and on.The forgotten show is really different than othersis about real life stories and at the end they solve the problem and give the answer to their families what happen to their love ones. OMG!!! This pisses me off so bad!!!! I LOVED this show!!! All my favorite shows get cancelled…like Three Rivers and Pushing Daisies. Maybe if they were on on the nights when other popular shows werent on then they would get better ratings!!!!UGH!!!!
