It looks like the magic is over for the three ladies of Eastwick. ABC network has decided against ordering any additional episodes of the supernatural series, effectively cancelling it.
Eastwick revolves around three women (Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, and Jaime Ray Newman) who meet at a wishing fountain and become friends. Soonafter, mysterious Darryl Van Horne (Paul Gross) moves to town and unleashes powers within the ladies. The cast also includes Ashley Benson, Johann Urb, Jon Bernthal, Sara Rue, and Veronica Cartwright.
The show got off to a slow start on September 23rd with a 3.0 rating in the 18-49 demo and 8.5 million total viewers. The second installment fell to a 2.3 in the demo and 6.57 million viewers. The third week fell again to a 1.8 and 5.14 million.

In the weeks that followed, the ratings didn’t get any better and more frequently got worse. Last week, Eastwick hit an all-time low of 1.5 in the demo and 4.4 million.
ABC has opted to pull the show from the schedule for two weeks. This Wednesday, it’s replaced by the Country Music Awards. Next week, it’s being bumped for an interview special called In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Janet Jackson. Though Eastwick is scheduled to return on Thanksgiving eve with a new episode, the supernatural drama won’t be around for long after that.
ABC has decided not to order any additional episodes of Eastwick, effectively cancelling the series after 13 episodes. It’s unknown if the last episode will wrap up the ongoing storylines. For now, ABC plans to air all six remaining installments but, if the ratings keep declining, the network could easily pull the series before that happens.

I’M VERY UPSET THEY CANCELED EASTWICK, IT WAS A GREAT SHOW AND THE STORY LINE WAS GREAT, IT LOOKS LIKE PEOPLE RATHER SEE DIRTY STUFF THAN SOMTHING CLEAN AND ENTERTAINING, EASTWICK IS BETTER THAN RITA, LETS TRY BRINGING IT BACK AND GIVE IT A CHANCE,
I think that the show was canceled because of the night in which it aired. They aired it on ten oclock on abcs COMEDY NIGHT. While eastwick did have some comedy like qualities, it is well known that the show was more of a drama or suspense even. Maybe if ABC took the time to stick it in somewhere that it might do well, maybe on a tuesday or thursday it would have stood a chance. You can’t go from Cougar Town to mysterious witches…it’s just not going to work. They should reconsider putting it back on.
I Love Eastwick!! I was woundering if it will return !! I can not bellieve everyone did not watch it!! I thought the story lines were Great and the chemistry between all the actors and actresses were “magic”. There definately NOT enough promotion for it!! To Bad ! I looked forward to every Wednesday night to watch it! NEVER missed an episode! To bad !!:(
It’s a very sad announcement, I’m a big fan of US TV Shows and I can certify that Eastwick is a great show nothing to have with those silly and repetitive shows that are still in action. This low rating of viewers shows only one thing : That there are lot of people with a bad taste and it’s really tragic to know that they decide what to watch!
They kept switching the day it would air. They advertised only briefly before the first episode, then never again, and on top of that showed it one week, then skipped one or two weeks, then it would randomly appear almost like if they didn’t have something else they wanted to put in its time-slot instead! It it weren’t for me setting my TiVo to record it whenever it aired, I never would have seen it!! They’re a bunch of fools, I’ve been following this blog for months now, and everyone wants it back. i think it is stupid it got canceled as well and i to are sick of reality drama based stupid television they aren’t good shows this one was why is America so infatuated with people they wish they could be i men is that why they watch stupid reality tv that is scripted because they want to be like those fake people on tv not to mention how annoying it is to see yet another freaking season of dancing with the stars or American idol so you can dance so what oh you can sing good for you i don’t… Read more »
Eastwick is a great show and they need to bring it back. It was difficult to find and not on a great night.

i am really upset with the cancellation, i have been waiting for it to come back on tv for such a long time that i got online and had to find out that its canceled… you should put it back on, i know four people just in my household that loved it

I have already voiced my opinion but there is no doubt that any of the muckety mucks will give a damn about it, but HERE WE GO AGAIN. They have just canceled Flash Forward.
It’s unbelieveble, another GREAT show gone so we can continue with re-runs and Two men.

Wow, im glad im not the only one who was mad about the cancellation. Wish there was a way to bring it back! It was a damn good show and yeah they didnt even give it a chance. Now they are doing the same thing to Happy Town. Maybe ABC is loosing all senses on what the viewers want, or they dont care about he viewers and there are a bunch of old men sitting around deciding what to put on tv and what not to.
