It looks like the magic is over for the three ladies of Eastwick. ABC network has decided against ordering any additional episodes of the supernatural series, effectively cancelling it.
Eastwick revolves around three women (Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, and Jaime Ray Newman) who meet at a wishing fountain and become friends. Soonafter, mysterious Darryl Van Horne (Paul Gross) moves to town and unleashes powers within the ladies. The cast also includes Ashley Benson, Johann Urb, Jon Bernthal, Sara Rue, and Veronica Cartwright.
The show got off to a slow start on September 23rd with a 3.0 rating in the 18-49 demo and 8.5 million total viewers. The second installment fell to a 2.3 in the demo and 6.57 million viewers. The third week fell again to a 1.8 and 5.14 million.

In the weeks that followed, the ratings didn’t get any better and more frequently got worse. Last week, Eastwick hit an all-time low of 1.5 in the demo and 4.4 million.
ABC has opted to pull the show from the schedule for two weeks. This Wednesday, it’s replaced by the Country Music Awards. Next week, it’s being bumped for an interview special called In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Janet Jackson. Though Eastwick is scheduled to return on Thanksgiving eve with a new episode, the supernatural drama won’t be around for long after that.
ABC has decided not to order any additional episodes of Eastwick, effectively cancelling the series after 13 episodes. It’s unknown if the last episode will wrap up the ongoing storylines. For now, ABC plans to air all six remaining installments but, if the ratings keep declining, the network could easily pull the series before that happens.

I REALLY am upset that they cancelled Eastwick, it was such a good, entertaining show. How can they cancel it and leave other boring, uninteresting shows on? I just don’t understand. BRING IT BACK PLEASE!!!!
I am so upset that this show has been cancelled. I thought the script was good and the actors were amazing. (It was just getting good too!)
Well at least we will be able to tune in to *!@# My Dad Says- I’m sure it will end up pulling nine seasons. >:(
Why does ABC take all the good shows off TV?? It really sucks!! Just like Dirty, Sexy, Money was an awesome show, but NO!! You had to take that one off too. And then there was Ugly Betty that you just had to move from Thursday nights!! What is wrong with you people??????????????????????
why did they have to cancel the show, i was loving from the start even, i mean joanna’s bf, was like suspecting things about jamies muder en found him standing in her house, and then ABC wants to go and stop the show right then… it’s like torture 🙁
They moved it to a different night from the beginning. I watched.it.every week. I thought it was a good show.
I think personally, that we people ought to start a petition on ABC bringing Eastwick back to TV. Or maybe not even ABC-what about a different network? There are more networks than just ABC. It always seems like when ever a show comes on thats worth any of its salt, its always canceled and some stupid ass reality show gets put on in its place. I think people have enough reality in their everyday lives as it is….we dont need to see how some other random persons life is while dating or some fat person losing weight on a reality… Read more »
They cancelled this wonderful show???? Who decided that???? They must have their heads up their asses. I loved this show and couldnt wait for the 2nd season! What a huge disappointment!!!
me and my mom used to watch that all the time, now that its canceled we were really upset and hopefully it comes back on…..sometime
I loved this show. It was so refreshing, to the norm of what junk is always on, cop shows, reality crap, and stupid thirty minute sitcom stuff thats suppose to be funny. ” NOT ” !!!!! They really should have tried to change air times or something like that to see if that would have made a difference. I remember that it came on on wedesdays and it was the only thing on that was any count and I DVR’d it every week.
im really sad they didnt add the second series I LOVED THE FIRST! and i too dvr all my shows. PLEASE PUT THE SHOW BACK ON! 🙁
I loved this series, it was a great first series and I was really interested too how it was going to end. I am so very sad that there won’t be a second series.
I think ABC is stupid. I hate ugly betty and it’s still on. Everyone I know watched eastwick and loved it as I did. I see many stupid shows but they keep them. And to not rap the storyline up is even more stupid of them. I have to DVR alot of my shows. Do they think of the people who DVR shows?
