It looks like the magic is over for the three ladies of Eastwick. ABC network has decided against ordering any additional episodes of the supernatural series, effectively cancelling it.
Eastwick revolves around three women (Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, and Jaime Ray Newman) who meet at a wishing fountain and become friends. Soonafter, mysterious Darryl Van Horne (Paul Gross) moves to town and unleashes powers within the ladies. The cast also includes Ashley Benson, Johann Urb, Jon Bernthal, Sara Rue, and Veronica Cartwright.
The show got off to a slow start on September 23rd with a 3.0 rating in the 18-49 demo and 8.5 million total viewers. The second installment fell to a 2.3 in the demo and 6.57 million viewers. The third week fell again to a 1.8 and 5.14 million.

In the weeks that followed, the ratings didn’t get any better and more frequently got worse. Last week, Eastwick hit an all-time low of 1.5 in the demo and 4.4 million.
ABC has opted to pull the show from the schedule for two weeks. This Wednesday, it’s replaced by the Country Music Awards. Next week, it’s being bumped for an interview special called In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Janet Jackson. Though Eastwick is scheduled to return on Thanksgiving eve with a new episode, the supernatural drama won’t be around for long after that.
ABC has decided not to order any additional episodes of Eastwick, effectively cancelling the series after 13 episodes. It’s unknown if the last episode will wrap up the ongoing storylines. For now, ABC plans to air all six remaining installments but, if the ratings keep declining, the network could easily pull the series before that happens.

I LOVED this show, it was so funny, interesting, scary, cool, and it just made you want to know what happened. They can’t do this i was looking forward to the next season. Gosh
I’m from UK and I absolutely love Eastwick! The concept is great, the characters are really likeable and well formed and the storyline and writing is fab! I couldn’t stop watching it and I really want to know how it’s all going to end!
Please make another series, it’s just gettin started!!!
I have waited and waited for eastwick to be on and then a Ifound out it was cancelled. Why I don’t know. It was full of excitement and suspence. I counted the days for the next show to be on. Please bring it back ! Everyone and everything deserves a second chance. Advertise it more !
I swear these networks need to rework their numbers. I don’t think they take into consideration cable viewing, the internet, peoples’ weird work schedules and DVRs! And look at the great stuff (not really) they put out this season. I bet they’re kicking themselves now.

I am boycotting ALL new series, as even if they’re good, the networks will cancel them in honour of the $.
Eastwick was a great show. Another wasted few weeks of watching, to find no answers at the end. Thanks greedy tv execs and get stuffed!

I absolutely love this show and cannot believe they have cancelled it. This realy sucks! Its like a modern charmed, if they gave it a chance it would be big! Come guys make a plan, give it a chance!

Couldn’t they at least try to make a decent end? After 13 episodes questions have been raised – answer them and then stop. Please don’t stop in the middle of a season, there ARE still people who like ‘Eastwick’ and want to watch it! Also outside the US!
i agree, i,m from holland and i whats the firts episode and I liked it so much that I immediately looked at the entire first season.

A truly brilliant show, such a shame to see it canceled, its very rare that an American television show about a group of women is so entertaining, (DH excluded). in Response to other peoples comments the reason that networks cancel these kind of shows for reality tv shows is that a reality tv show costs almost nothing to produce and with no major acting costs either, so a reality tv show is just a way for a network to produce more revenue. I love this show and wish that the series could be continued, even if it is on another network. It is way better than half the shows that are on now! Please air another season someone!!!!
