TV show description:
As this TV series begins, Sean and Beverly Lincoln (Stephen Mangan and Tamsin Greig), a British husband-and-wife comedy writing team, win yet another BAFTA Award for their successful British sitcom, Lyman’s Boys. They are then wooed by American television executive Merc Lapidus (John Pankow) into re-creating their sitcom for an American audience. They are assured that the program won’t be changed and the integrity of their work is just what the network is looking for.
After initial hesitation, Sean and Beverly accept Merc’s offer and relocate from London to Los Angeles. On their first day in pre-production, Sean and Beverly are told that Julian Bullard (Richard Griffiths), the accomplished actor who stars in the British version of Lyman’s Boys, will need to re-audition for the American adaptation.
They also learn that Merc (whose mood-swings are as volatile as the ratings) has lied to them and has never actually seen an episode of their show. Bullard is not given the job and the egotistical former Friends star Matt LeBlanc (Matt LeBlanc) is given the role instead.
Further changes to the concept are made and the lead character is changed from an aged headmaster to a hockey coach. The TV series is then renamed Pucks!.
Other characters include head of network programming Carol Rance (Kathleen Rose Perkins) and Morning Randolph (Mircea Monroe), the stunning actress hired to play Nicola, the middle-aged lesbian librarian.

What do you think? Do you like the Episodes TV series? Do you think that season five should be the end or would you watch a sixth season?
My husband and I love this show and would watch forever, no joke! One of the very BEST on TV
My husband and I love this show and would watch forever, no joke! One of the very nest on TV
I would watch as many seasons as they can make, ALL the actors are amazingly funny, not to mention… it’s Matt Leblanc!!!
I’d watch a season six. Come on! It’s Matt Leblanc! 🙂
My husband and I LOVE this show! We keep looking for it to come back on. One of the funniest comedies ever on tv. Don’t cancel!!
We have been waiting anxiously for the new season of Episodes. We love it!
Oh, no! Not this show too!
Brilliant, this is one comedy where I actually laugh, a belly laugh, the writing is absolute, the characters are perfect, love this show
Having been peripherally involved in the entertainment biz for a number of years, I find Episodes to be (from my limited knowledge) an engaging, frustrating, & darkly poetic look at the way different categories of creative people are treated. I enjoy its honesty in terms of exposing that one must be very, very careful about whom one trusts – an extremely limited group that’s constantly in flux. I enjoy it immensely & hope it stays on the air for seasons to come. Kudos to the phenomenally clever writers!!
Keep this show on the air!! There was no installment on 3/22/2015 and I was looking very much forward to it. The concept of a show about an actor who used to do a smash hit and is now trying to “find himself” is fascinating and this show hits the bullseye. The mixture of “show” and “real life” is especially compelling (to watch) especially since what everyone who used to do “Friends” is doing has been heavily covered in the media. After watching Episodes faithfully I have watched other programming with these actors just because they are in that show… Read more »
Oh my God this is the funniest show. The writing is so clever and Matt LeBlanc is hilarious. I just started watching it and had to catch up on all the episodes. Glad it has not been canceled.
These writers and actors really know how to do comedy. There are some other shows that could learn from them. Can’t wait for the new season.
I love this show!
Keep it coming.
