With the Law & Order and Chicago franchises, executive producer Dick Wolf has a very impressive track record of making long-running TV shows for NBC. Now, he and Craig Turk have made another one — the FBI TV series — for CBS, a network that already has quite a few procedural dramas. Will it be a ratings success and be renewed for a second season or, will it be cancelled instead? Stay tuned. *Status update below.
Airing on CBS, the FBI TV show stars Missy Peregrym, Zeeko Zaki, Ebonée Noel, Jeremy Sisto, and Sela Ward. The program revolves around the inner workings of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s New York office and a group of first-class agents. The team brings all of their talents and technical expertise to solve major cases of tremendous magnitude — including terrorism, organized crime and counterintelligence.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly on the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/15 update: You can see the latest night’s ratings in context.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the FBI TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season on CBS?
1/25/19 update: CBS has renewed the FBI TV show for a second season.
Jeremy Sisco should not be in the show. He is better doing comedy.
The FBI show is pretty good but this is one that Jeremy Sisco should not be there. It is like they stuck him in as a last resort. He is better as a comedian actor.
I couldn’t disagree with you more. Jeremy Sisto (not Sisco, btw) is perfect in this.
I don’t care for Maggie, she is not a strong main character. I would like the show more if they had someone else in that role.
Kind of harsh comments about Maggie. She is a character with some strong principles. The show’s writing is quite good. The series is in its infancy. We should be patient to see how the show develops as time goes on. Give the show a chance. I like how the show wraps up and some of the issues it tackles.
If Maggie would quit looking like she is going to cry all the time it would be better. She acts like a crybaby and otherwise the show is good
I’m boycotting this show. It’s a farce
Missy is a horrible actor. She is no beauty but nir does she have a personality. Recast her to save the show
Not very compelling. Acting is poor. Won’t be watching this show again.
Why must the actors overact. Not believable because of that. Won’t watch this show again. Story lines good. Actors very bad.
Episode 1 was pretty bad, episode 3 had more promise. But compared to the whinyness of This is Us, I’d rather watch the FBI.
Very boring…Also, the storyline was weak and divisive. Why start a show premiere making a white racist guy who is a Nazi and hates minorities? Some of us are tired of the same old stereotypes that Hollywood portrays.
First episode, great opening. Then rapidly downhill, really dull.
The lead character is very weak and looks more like someone that would never get her fingernails dirty, much less as an FBI agent! She should be replaced with a familiar popular male on tv, such as Eric Mc Cormack that looks like an FBI agent. I’m all about advancing women in television, but not at the sake of ratings! The first 10 minutes of the show just looked fake and the rest of the show was predictable. I’m so disappointed because I waited months for it to premiere.
After the first five minutes, the poor quality of this production turned me off. Lead actors with debris on jackets and clothes look like models in a photo shoot. To me this is an indication of what will be pure fantasy with no attention to details or common sense.
I am surprised with Mr. Wolf’s the newest series FBI. The first episode was not at all like his other shows. My thoughts the show had little excitement, very predictable about how the events would play out. The characters did not seem to be engaging or comfortable working together making the above mentioned even less appealing. Sadly I have to say, I am disappointed with FBI the series! I was looking forward to a new series by Mr. Wolf. I would like to add everyone makes mistakes! I know Mr. Wolf has more to come for all of his fans.… Read more »
New FBI show truly boring!-not much different than anything else Dick Wolf has done in the last 10 years -he needs to get back to his Miami Vice roots!
Its impossible to watch this show without laughing. They are a disgraced agency. When they reference their honor and integrity people start laughing.
