TV show description:
This drama series details the lives of the Strategic Response Unit (SRU), a special force that is called on in severe situations that are too intense for regular officers. Based on the real-life Emergency Task Force of Toronto, Canada, the expert cops are often called upon to rescue hostages, dissipate gangs, negotiate with kidnappers, investigate bomb threats, and talk down possible jumpers.
While the SRU is heavily armed and specially trained, their real assets are their expertise in dealing with human emotions. The team explores the “flashpoint,” or the critical point that has suddenly triggered a person into action.
Sergeant Gregory Parker (Enrico Colantoni) leads this talented team of officers. His team looks up to him as a father figure, and he is gifted with an innate ability to read people. He’s been practicing since he was a young boy when he had to predict whether his father was about to hit or high-five him.
On Parker’s team are charismatic Ed Lane (Hugh Dillon), who is addicted to his job; observant Julianna “Jules” Callaghan, a former Royal Canadian Mounted Police; Mike “Spike” Scarlatti (Sergio Di Zio), the rebellious “little brother” and rookie of the team; sniper Sam Braddock (David Paetkau) who is smitten with Jules and was formerly a member of a military counter-terrorism task force; former troublemaker Lewis “Lou” Young (Mark Taylor), a street smart gang expert; gentle Kevin “Wordy” Wordsworth, a man driven to keep the streets safe by the love of his children; and forensic psychologist Dr. Amanda Luria (Ruth Marshall), who is able to get to the truth by using her sense of humor.
Episode #75 — Keep the Peace, part two
The members of Team One have no time to mourn the loss of Team Three leader Donna Sabine and one of her colleagues following the explosion of suspect and psychiatrist Anson Holt. The team learns that the perpetrator is actually Marcus Faber. He is one of Holt’s former students and a victim of his sadistic experiments.
Team One races through Toronto to defuse all of the remaining bombs. Greg Parker attempts to disable the last bomb in the catwalks of Fletcher Stadium and is twarted by Faber. A gravely injured Parker succeeds in diffusing the bomb and Ed Lane saves his life by fatally shooting Faber.
One year later, we find that Greg has retired to teach at the police academy. Spike and Winnie are officially a couple. Sam and Jules have their daughter, Sadie. Sam is the new leader of Team Three and Ed is promoted to Sergeant.
First aired: December 13, 2012
What do you think? Do you like the XXXXXX TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for another season?
I am hugely disappointed that Flashpoint is being cancelled. I find it difficult to believe that in a world where crime is ever growing that the show cannot develop material that will draw and sustain a large enough audience to bring up the ratings. The final two episodes were great. How can you stop now?
I enjoy this show alot! PLEASE don’t cancel the show-we don’t have a lot of shows that are not only great in content and cast, but teach a lot in the program.
Keep flashpoint great show!
Flashpoint was a really great show! It had a different perspective than other cop shows. Hate, hate, hate to see it go. Can’t you bring it back – maybe focusing on Team 2? Please?!
Flashpoint was one of the best programs ever. It felt REAL. Everything about it – down to the music -was much higher quality than usually found on tv. I’m glad they kept it alive on ION to at least air the last 5 episodes.
I though there were new Eps. on ION but every time I see it listed, they are over a year old.
CBS don’t drop Flashpoint. Next you’ll be dropping NCIS. What are you thinking?
Very sad that CBS would drop such a fantastic show. Just goes to show they don’t care about Canadian made shows!
Guys whoever is making the decisions on these different shows,FlAsh Point is one of the only Police show’s on TV worth watching, why you would take it off the air is beyond my understanding,Bring it back soon.
I really loved Flashpoint and it was one of the best Cop series ever for CBS. Why It ran only one spring is beyond me, and now I find out that it was on IOn (whatever that is) Why does CBS do that. Irratating!!!! Who are these morrons taking good stuff off,.

I’m really sorry Flashpoint is not going to be continuing. I think it is the best cop show since NYPD Blue. Sorry to see it go.
This show is excellant, I didn’t thinkit was coming back on then it returned, but as soon as it returned, it was gone again. This show needs to return. If it’s going to get another season or two please confirm. Thanks for making such an awsome show.
