TV show description:
This drama series details the lives of the Strategic Response Unit (SRU), a special force that is called on in severe situations that are too intense for regular officers. Based on the real-life Emergency Task Force of Toronto, Canada, the expert cops are often called upon to rescue hostages, dissipate gangs, negotiate with kidnappers, investigate bomb threats, and talk down possible jumpers.
While the SRU is heavily armed and specially trained, their real assets are their expertise in dealing with human emotions. The team explores the “flashpoint,” or the critical point that has suddenly triggered a person into action.
Sergeant Gregory Parker (Enrico Colantoni) leads this talented team of officers. His team looks up to him as a father figure, and he is gifted with an innate ability to read people. He’s been practicing since he was a young boy when he had to predict whether his father was about to hit or high-five him.
On Parker’s team are charismatic Ed Lane (Hugh Dillon), who is addicted to his job; observant Julianna “Jules” Callaghan, a former Royal Canadian Mounted Police; Mike “Spike” Scarlatti (Sergio Di Zio), the rebellious “little brother” and rookie of the team; sniper Sam Braddock (David Paetkau) who is smitten with Jules and was formerly a member of a military counter-terrorism task force; former troublemaker Lewis “Lou” Young (Mark Taylor), a street smart gang expert; gentle Kevin “Wordy” Wordsworth, a man driven to keep the streets safe by the love of his children; and forensic psychologist Dr. Amanda Luria (Ruth Marshall), who is able to get to the truth by using her sense of humor.
Episode #75 — Keep the Peace, part two
The members of Team One have no time to mourn the loss of Team Three leader Donna Sabine and one of her colleagues following the explosion of suspect and psychiatrist Anson Holt. The team learns that the perpetrator is actually Marcus Faber. He is one of Holt’s former students and a victim of his sadistic experiments.
Team One races through Toronto to defuse all of the remaining bombs. Greg Parker attempts to disable the last bomb in the catwalks of Fletcher Stadium and is twarted by Faber. A gravely injured Parker succeeds in diffusing the bomb and Ed Lane saves his life by fatally shooting Faber.
One year later, we find that Greg has retired to teach at the police academy. Spike and Winnie are officially a couple. Sam and Jules have their daughter, Sadie. Sam is the new leader of Team Three and Ed is promoted to Sergeant.
First aired: December 13, 2012
What do you think? Do you like the XXXXXX TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for another season?
My husband and I love the show. Bring it back. One of the best shows on the air. We have been watching it from the beginning. Hate to see it go off the air.
PLEASE RENEW the show and bring it back to TV?! i wasn’t able to watch the finale at all… the only episodes i watched were when i became a fan and by that time i had been watching old episodes. I loved the show so much and it was actually a show that made sense and i was hooked untill around the beginning of this year 2013 and i realized that the show was canceled and i was and still am very angry and devastated. All the shows i like keep being canceled and as a result sucky shows are… Read more »
Please bring it back. One of my favorites. Found additional season on ION that I didn’t know about.
Would like to see Flashpoint return. Love the show! Great family show.
PLEASE continue Flashpoint. It is at the top of my list of all time favorites. Is anyone starting a petition to have it brought back??? I need to have my Spike fix every Tuesday.
It’s seems to have been on Ion one week and finished the next. Please bring it back!!!
Definitely keep rolling! Best show on TV!
Yes! Renew definitely.
The best show on TV right now. I just watched the last show and was surprised it was canceled. It is getting harder and harder to find a TV show that anyone over the age of 40 can enjoy. It was one of about three that I watch on a regular basis. Bring it back.
I really really loved this show and looked forward to watching it every week . So sad to sit it end. I really with they would bring it back!! One of the best shows out there!!
PLEASE BRING IT BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think Flashpoint was one of the best shows of its kind. I really think it should be brought back. I love all the actors and the stories being told. If some of the other shows on TV were this good we might watch more of them. Bring it back.
It broke my heart to realize that one of my favorite shows is over! Why is it that a quality show like Flashpoint gets cancelled, and a plethora of idiotic trash labeled “Reality” crap TV goes on? It doesn’t make sense!
In my opinion, the cancellation of Flashpoint is a huge mistake, and I fervently wish that this was not happening! This is one of the finest shows on television, and I miss it already!
I agree. It should be renewed. They keep renewing that stupid waste of my time reality junk but cancel a great entertaining show like Flaspoint.I can’t believe the mindless shows they keep.Where are the brains of those who decide.I really looked forward to this series.
Love Flashpoint, one of the best shows on TV and always look forward to watching it for it’s intriguing drama and excellent actors and actresses. Sad news if this is the end of it…
Please bring back my husband and watch replays every night
