ABC is still trying to fill that Tuesdays at 10pm timeslot. Many ABC shows have been given that timeslot and they’ve all been cancelled — Killer Women, Body of Proof and Lucky 7, to name just a few. So, how’s the new Forever TV show doing? Will it break the trend or be cancelled as well?
On the Forever TV show, New York City’s star medical examiner is Doctor Henry Morgan (Ioan Gruffudd). He can ascertain things that most can not because of his vast experience — he’s been alive for 200 years but can’t figure out how or why. The rest of the cast includes Alana de la Garza, Lorraine Toussaint, Donnie Keshawarz, Joel David Moore, and Judd Hirsch.
The series got off to an okay start, following the season premiere of Dancing with the Stars on a Monday night. It attracted a 1.7 rating with 8.59 million viewers. The following night, in its permanent timeslot, the demo rose slightly but viewership dropped.

In week two, the ratings tumbled to a 1.4 in the demo with 5.69 million. In week three, they fell even lower and last week’s installment hit new lows with a 1.1 demo rating and 4.81 million viewers.
Just four weeks into the season and this show is already in serious trouble. ABC needs a successful show to fill the Tuesdays at 10pm timeslot and it’s clear that Forever isn’t the answer to their prayers. It’s unlikely that they’ll order any installments beyond their initial 13 episode order.
Will all of the episodes air? I suspect that ABC will release the six remaining episodes — probably before the holidays. The network may find other programming to air in the Tuesdays at 10pm timeslot during at least some of November sweeps however.
Either way, unless there’s a miraculous turnaround in the ratings, Forever is as good as cancelled. It’s yet another TV show about an immortal that will see its life cut short.

I REALLY LIKE THIS SHOW! I get so sick of shows being cancelled that are well written with great casting and characters that you/I actually enjoy watching. I’m sick of “talent” shows and even more fed up with “reality” shows. We need more scripted programs with talented actors and well written scripts. It is as if networks want to appeal to the lowest common denominator. Seriously, you MUST keep this show going. If it wasn’t for a spot on Live with Kelly and Michael, would not hV even known it was out there, bad on you and your promoting a great show. Suggest you take those you are paying the “advertising and promo” dollars to and toss them anf find the right team for this show. Has the makings of the “Bones”, “NCIS”, etc., drama series…..but no one knows its out there. I love this series and I got into it. Very interesting story. I just don’t understand when they put this series for many episodes and people got into it and likes it then they will thinking to cancel it?!

Keep it! ABC, this is a keeper. No doubt about. Don’t pull a FOX or a CBS and dump an excellent program just because the initial ‘numbers’ don’t ‘tally’. FOX did it with Firefly and CBS did it with Star Trek. Don’t make the same mistake. This show has ‘legs’. Let it stand on them!
if ABC cancels this, I’m done with ABC. They keep cancelling the shows I like. I’m sick of the dancing already, and I’ll never watch the reality junk that any channel keeps pushing.
Love this series don’t cancel it I don’t know why abc cancels great shows and thinks the bachelor which is ridiculous. Forever has great lessons for all of us.

i absolutely love this show. The only problem is, i don’t live in USA so i can’t watch abc. I have to go online and find it on some streaming website, because noone is airing it. And i know that there are alot of other people in my country (denmark) who likes this show, but can’t help influence the viewer ratings because they have to watch it illegally.
