ABC is still trying to fill that Tuesdays at 10pm timeslot. Many ABC shows have been given that timeslot and they’ve all been cancelled — Killer Women, Body of Proof and Lucky 7, to name just a few. So, how’s the new Forever TV show doing? Will it break the trend or be cancelled as well?
On the Forever TV show, New York City’s star medical examiner is Doctor Henry Morgan (Ioan Gruffudd). He can ascertain things that most can not because of his vast experience — he’s been alive for 200 years but can’t figure out how or why. The rest of the cast includes Alana de la Garza, Lorraine Toussaint, Donnie Keshawarz, Joel David Moore, and Judd Hirsch.
The series got off to an okay start, following the season premiere of Dancing with the Stars on a Monday night. It attracted a 1.7 rating with 8.59 million viewers. The following night, in its permanent timeslot, the demo rose slightly but viewership dropped.

In week two, the ratings tumbled to a 1.4 in the demo with 5.69 million. In week three, they fell even lower and last week’s installment hit new lows with a 1.1 demo rating and 4.81 million viewers.
Just four weeks into the season and this show is already in serious trouble. ABC needs a successful show to fill the Tuesdays at 10pm timeslot and it’s clear that Forever isn’t the answer to their prayers. It’s unlikely that they’ll order any installments beyond their initial 13 episode order.
Will all of the episodes air? I suspect that ABC will release the six remaining episodes — probably before the holidays. The network may find other programming to air in the Tuesdays at 10pm timeslot during at least some of November sweeps however.
Either way, unless there’s a miraculous turnaround in the ratings, Forever is as good as cancelled. It’s yet another TV show about an immortal that will see its life cut short.

this show is great—best one abc has to offer–if they cancel it abc will lose alot of followers
I think the show is great. I actually started watching ABC as a station. If they cancel, it proves that ABC probably isn’t going to be worth watching. Imo
My husband and I love this show and look forward to watching each week. If we are unable to watch it we DVR it to watch later. It is one of the best new shows in many years. Please don’t cancel it. Each role is perfectly cast. I love Henry’s flashbacks. Such an interesting concept.
I love Forever…. please, please, please do NOT cancel the show. This is one first shows I have been interested in lately. It is really exciting and I love it so much. It fits right in with the other shows I’m interested in, such as Castle and Sherlock. This show should not be cancelled
Please do not cancel this witty, original and completely entertaining series. The cast is engaging and the writing is superb. Put it in a favorable time slot where it has a fighting chance, but don’t cancel it.

My husband and I never miss Forever. Love the main three actors. Why cancel?
I will be heartbroken if they cancelled FOREVER. We fans need to do something to save it. A petition or something. This show is incredibly well written and beautifully acted. Especially after the episode last night, I would be crushed if Henry, Jo, Abe, Lucas, and Mike weren’t there to make my Tuesdays worth while.

I would be most sad if you cancelled Forever — it is a very fun show that I would like to see get a chance to evolve. I think that there needs to be a new system to judge on whether or not a show is renewed — most everyone that I know has to record the shows that they enjoy as they are not free to watch TV at the times that they are shown and we all fall into the key age demographic…
Forever is a great show and has so much potential to get even better. It reminds me of Castle in a way, great chemistry between the characters. This show just needs more time to find its audience. ABC should promote it more and make sure it has a place on the new line up.

FOREVER has consistently been intelligently written, thoroughly engaging and wonderfully well acted. FOREVER is a Top Notch drama that earned itself a second season! I hope ABC sees this.
I have kept up with this save the show thread for a long time..there has not been one person I have seen that says cancel it or its a bad show. People are taking time to write on this thread to defend it and think it’s a good show. Give it a chance. It is different but it is really good….so please DON’T cancel.
no please don’t cancel FOREVER It’s a great show. It has such funny lines in it. The plot is so different from most of the detective shows.
Henry and Jo are fabulous and so is Abe. Give it a chance. I don’t understand why viewers don’t like it. Maybe it hasn’t been advertised enough? I really think you should try to do something to make it more appealing to more people. I will be so sad to see FOREVER end.
No great surprise that it would cancel Forever rather than consider it’s the lead-in where there’s a problem. It lost DWTS and then dropped like a rock. Big surprise. Forever is a good drama that deserves renewal, but they’ll drop it and replace it with another cheap and chintsy reality show…people who eat bugs or somesuch.
