TV show description:
A fantasy crime drama, this TV series follows New York City’s star medical examiner — Doctor Henry Morgan (Ioan Gruffudd), handsome man with a secret past. No matter how hard he tries, Henry can’t age even a single day — he’s immortal. He doesn’t know much about what happens when he “dies” except that everything on him disappears and he reemerges in a body of water, naked.
Henry doesn’t just study the dead to solve criminal cases however. He does it to try to solve the mystery that has eluded him for 200 years — the reason for his own inexplicable immortality.
Henry’s long life has given him remarkable observation skills which impresses his new partner, Detective Jo Martinez (Alana De La Garza). This piques her curiosity about who he is. Each new case and their budding friendship reveal layers of Henry’s long and colorful past. Jo’s sharp, no-nonsense instincts and her ability to close difficult cases have given her a tough-as-nails reputation on the force, despite also dealing with the untimely loss of her husband.
Lucas Wan (Joel David Moore) is a twenty-something self-proclaimed “artisan of death” and Henry’s worshipful assistant. He considers mortuary science an art, and Henry its Picasso. After transplanting to New York City from rural Ohio, Lucas worked up the courage to introduce himself to the star medical examiner at a crime scene.
A Brooklyn native, Detective Hanson (Donnie Keshawarz) works alongside Jo and has worked his way up to the NYPD’s elite squad of homicide detectives. He’s a family man who lives with his wife and two children in Queens. Unafraid of bending the rules to get the job done, Hanson is sometimes skeptical of Henry’s talent but often admires its effectiveness.
No one knows Henry better than his best friend and confidant, an antique shop owner named Abe (Judd Hirsch). The keeper of Henry’s immortality secret, Abe’s “carpe diem” philosophy inspires Henry to get more in touch with the beauty of living. Abe is not immortal but he is determined to make the most out of every moment of life.
Episode #22 — The Last Death of Henry Morgan
Henry and Adam have been on a long, unrelenting collision course, which is about to come to a head – possibly bringing about one man’s death – with only Jo standing in the way. Henry and Jo’s murder investigation into a museum worker’s death centers on a priceless missing ancient dagger, which not only ended the life of Julius Caesar, but also killed Adam the first time.
Meanwhile, Adam knows that there is something that Henry fears more than death – that Jo might discover his mystery. The two men tangle in a tumultuous game-changing confrontation.
First aired: May 5, 2015.
What do you think? Do you like the Forever TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?

Renewed
Cecilia, when I read renewed I got so excited cause I thought you were saying the show was renewed. I went on line to look could not find anything. Was it renewed? I hope so!!! Maybe ABC is listening to us after all
Why would you cancel a good show. I hope some other network picks it up.
This show was refreshing especially with all the crap that’s on tv these days.
I just watched an episode of “Veep” ABC cancels “Forever” and a network keeps “Veep” on with that horse-hocky stupid dialogue. ABC should be lambasted for such a “MISTAKE” by viewers to boycott their other programs.
This show was so entertaining and different. I loved all the characters and the stories. It’s a shame that it was cancelled. In the meantime, there is very little worth watching.
I just have one question for ABC, Why would you cancel one of he best shows that
has been on the air in quite a while ? Everyone that I know loved FOREVER !!!
Forever should not be cancelled its ratings where not as bad as some renewed shows.great cast great writing
Should not have been canceled
It astonishes me that ABC would cancel one of the best shows on television, let alone their network. The storylines, casting, & chemistry made it one of the few shows I never missed. Shame on you ABC.
THis was a very very good show the actors were great the plots were great my
boyfriend and I watched it faithfully it was different from all the NCIS shows that
are all the same just different names and charectors. why not keep on something
that is totally different for once
Definitely should’ve been renewed!!!!!
Loved the chemistry between father and son in this show. It was truly believe able and characters acted in ways which were consistent with their personalities. I thought it was very well written and am sorry it was cancelled.
I’m very disappointed that Forever has been cancelled. I thought it was as interesting/gripping as any detective show on TV. There was also some humor and who doesn’t love Judd Hirsch. I’d certainly watch it on another channel if someone else picks it up.
possably the name turned viewers off without watching. I finally wtched it one night ad enjoyed it enough
to bookmark toto mu favorites list, and then to record the series on my hopper. Please bring it back.
Hard to find any network (ABC, CBS, NBC) tv show that is worth the investment as they don’t give them a chance. Did not advertise, kept jerking around with the one week on and one week off crap. They aired a Christmas episode of Forever in April!! Stalker was a good show too but they did the same thing with that. These winter breaks and award shows interrupt the seasons and really don’t allow people to invest in the series. I really liked Henry and the whole cast and the show was different. Then they came out with a movie… Read more »
Can’t believe it was cancelled. Was a great show, brilliant writing, fantastic acting. Abc messed up. Have signed the petition going to WB (as its their show). Fingers crossed
