TV show description:
A fantasy crime drama, this TV series follows New York City’s star medical examiner — Doctor Henry Morgan (Ioan Gruffudd), handsome man with a secret past. No matter how hard he tries, Henry can’t age even a single day — he’s immortal. He doesn’t know much about what happens when he “dies” except that everything on him disappears and he reemerges in a body of water, naked.
Henry doesn’t just study the dead to solve criminal cases however. He does it to try to solve the mystery that has eluded him for 200 years — the reason for his own inexplicable immortality.
Henry’s long life has given him remarkable observation skills which impresses his new partner, Detective Jo Martinez (Alana De La Garza). This piques her curiosity about who he is. Each new case and their budding friendship reveal layers of Henry’s long and colorful past. Jo’s sharp, no-nonsense instincts and her ability to close difficult cases have given her a tough-as-nails reputation on the force, despite also dealing with the untimely loss of her husband.
Lucas Wan (Joel David Moore) is a twenty-something self-proclaimed “artisan of death” and Henry’s worshipful assistant. He considers mortuary science an art, and Henry its Picasso. After transplanting to New York City from rural Ohio, Lucas worked up the courage to introduce himself to the star medical examiner at a crime scene.
A Brooklyn native, Detective Hanson (Donnie Keshawarz) works alongside Jo and has worked his way up to the NYPD’s elite squad of homicide detectives. He’s a family man who lives with his wife and two children in Queens. Unafraid of bending the rules to get the job done, Hanson is sometimes skeptical of Henry’s talent but often admires its effectiveness.
No one knows Henry better than his best friend and confidant, an antique shop owner named Abe (Judd Hirsch). The keeper of Henry’s immortality secret, Abe’s “carpe diem” philosophy inspires Henry to get more in touch with the beauty of living. Abe is not immortal but he is determined to make the most out of every moment of life.
Episode #22 — The Last Death of Henry Morgan
Henry and Adam have been on a long, unrelenting collision course, which is about to come to a head – possibly bringing about one man’s death – with only Jo standing in the way. Henry and Jo’s murder investigation into a museum worker’s death centers on a priceless missing ancient dagger, which not only ended the life of Julius Caesar, but also killed Adam the first time.
Meanwhile, Adam knows that there is something that Henry fears more than death – that Jo might discover his mystery. The two men tangle in a tumultuous game-changing confrontation.
First aired: May 5, 2015.
What do you think? Do you like the Forever TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?

Dear ABC,
Once upon a time you were great but not so much now.
Please get rid of those stupid “reality” tv shows (“boehoe we’ve got to much money and OMG I broke a nail” crap shows and have some really good tv shows on tv again like you used to!
Series like Forever and Stalker are so good!! It’s like when they cancelled Alcatraz, there is no proper ending 🙁
So please listen to us and don’t cancel the good stuff
I really enjoyed Forever, I watched it every week, if I could not see it, I would watch it On Demand. I was looking forward to finding out how the detective was going to react when Henry told her he was immortal. Very disappointing that Forever I being cancelled while reality shows such as Keeping up with the Kardshians continues, such garbage. I never watch it.,
This was a great show. Abc had too many reality shows. Forever has a great story line. Boo to abc. What a let down. There should be another season. I know it can’t go on forever , but come on – one more season.
Please renew “Forever”. It is such an interesting show with great characters. The immortal good vs. evil characters evoke such great possibilities in storytelling.
I Can”t believe that Forever is being cancelled. I loved it also love the cast. each member is great . we get good TV shows and they take them away. For myself this was the best since MASH
This is the best since many shows! I watch a lot of CNN and my soap (!), but I don’t generally watch sitcoms or dramas. But, I pick a few dramas each season to look at, and try them out. (I pretty much hate sitcoms!). I just loved “Forever”, and, as I said, it is the best since many, many before it. This always happens to me, because I watch what I consider “quality” shows like Forever, so inevitably, they get pulled off the air! 🙁 One of our themes here is that most of us don’t appreciate the “reality”… Read more »
Instead of cancelling Forever, ABC SHOULD HAVE cancelled crap like ‘The Bachelor’, ‘The Bachelorette’, ‘Dancing with the Stars’, ‘The Biggest Loser’, etc.
Exactly – get rid of all that crap and keep some good drama like Forever. I hope that at some point, the “reality” bug will burn out, and we won’t have to put up with those shows cutting out the good stuff. They are like a cancer at this point.
Ummmm…. No it should not have been canceled. I love that show. It was a great show I’ve been watching it since the first episode aired. I was so upset that they canceled it. It was just getting good and it should not have been canceled. I was so looking forward to the next season. They need to renew it. It was an amazing show with an amazing story.
If you don’t put forever back on I am never watching ABC again I have had it
You keep taking hit shows and flushing them down the toilet who is responsible for this I’d like to strangle that person as I’m sure many other people would like to as well
What is wrong with you people at ABC you did the same thing with moonlight in 2007 with Alex O’Loughlin
I’m now stars in another hit series on TV Hawaii five O is the police commissioner.
I agree ABC you’re making a huge mistake this was one of the best shows you did NOT give it a chance. Wonderful actors wonderful new twists and turns wonderful storyline wonderful love story wonderful suspense stories I can’t say enough about FOREVER . Huge huge mistake ABC it’s a real shame because there’s so much garbage on TV that you should’ve taken off but instead take off something worthy like this you make no sense !!! We are also disgusted with you !!!
Don’t understand why You finally have a great show with several plot options and you cancel it.
I really liked this show. I taped all of the episodes. Sure wish they wouldn’t have cancelled it.
You finally have a new premise for viewing and now you want to cancel it. I love this show and so does my family. Tired to death of reality TV. Looked forward to see every episode. Please bring this back.
I just don’t get this “reality” trend, except that it plays to the lowest common denominator. I guess they make money on those shows since they don’t have to pay real actors or do anything special except follow people around and film them. Some of them are just embarrassing. What kind of person would go on “Naked Dating”?? You’d have to be mindless, I guess. Disgusting. Shouldn’t even be allowed on the air. I’m not much on censorship, but OMG, some of those shows deserve it; they are SO bad.
WHY DON’T ABC GET A FEW WOMEN IN CHARGE OR SOME FAMILY MEMBERS WHO HAVE GOT A DECENT TASTE IN TV VIEWING . WHY IS IT THAT WHEN ANYONE IN CHARGE OF ANYTHING IMPORTANT THINKS THAT ONLY 16-24 ARE THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO WATCH TV.
WE DON’T ALL LIKE REALITY CRAP ON TV. KEEP FOREVER ON OUR SCREENS. A DECENT PROGRAMME TO WATCH FOR A CHANGE.
