What’s This TV Show About?
A Freeform family drama, The Fosters stars Teri Polo, Sherri Saum, Hayden Byerly, Noah Centineo, David Lambert, Maia Mitchell, and Cierra Ramirez. The story centers on Stef Foster (Polo), a dedicated police officer, and school administrator Lena Adams (Saum). An interracial lesbian couple, Stef and Lena are raising a blended family of foster, biological, and adopted kids, in San Diego.
Season Five Ratings
The fifth season of The Fosters averaged a 0.25 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 619,000 viewers. Compared to season four, that’s down by 27% and down by 23%, respectively. Learn how The Fosters stacks up against the other Freeform TV shows.
On January 3, 2018, Freeform ordered a spin-off and announced The Fosters ends with a three night event. Stay tuned for further updates.
Telly’s Take
Though the ratings are still positive, I wouldn’t be surprised if this TV series ends with season five, and that nice 100 episode sized syndication package. Remember what happened with Switched at Birth. Although its fourth season received higher ratings than season four of The Fosters, eventually, Freeform announced that family drama would end with season five. Please renew The Fosters for season 6! This is by far my favorite show.

I also binged watching this show till 5 am and imagine am women with 4 children and a nurse I love how it’s a very tight family and how they so strong even with different of opinions how they fight what they believe in and that family bond don’t break they stick together and that’s how it should be it would be very dissapointing if you guys don’t bring this show back
I actually just binged watched all the seasons 1-5 an am anxious for season 6! I really hope that freeform continues this show.

Please don’t cancel the Fosters. This is one of the few family shows still out there actually addressing social issues children and their families need to be able to discuss together. It’s actually realistic and shows issues that most teens probably wouldn’t discuss with their parents. Immigration and teen sexuality , as well as other issues that are realistic in today’s society. Maybe it will stimulate kids to talk about issues or get educated. This is definitely an enjoyable show on many levels. It makes me laugh, makes me cry..,,, Please don’t cancel it.

Please continue! I started at the beginning of October and I watch this show every time I come home from work. Sometimes I can’t find a show to watch and keep up with but I actually like this show and keep up with it. I finally have a show I can watch that I can call my show.
